Ritz Cafe — Restaurant in Paoli

OMG! Obviously, the people who left reviews stating how good it were either locals or are friends of the owners and have never been exposed to fresh cooked food. Being a caterer for over 30 yrs, I can honestly say this was a horrible experience! Come on, how can you mess up a BLT sandwich and home fried potatoes with onions! The potatoes were literally brown to the point that they looked like pieces of bacon! They were extremely greasy and had to be what was letter over from the day before. And absolutely no seasoning was added at all and were luke warm, and was charged $1.99 for the onions to be added. Oh, and the coffee had to been the bottom of the pot. It was so bitter that no amount of cream or sugar could mask it. Thinking a safe choice was tomato juice was a big mistake. It was beginning to boarder on the sour side. Yes, the prices were not outrageous, but then you get what you pay for, and this was a pitiful excuse for food. Whoever was cooking on a Saturday morning needs to find another job. In cooking school, you are taught, "You eat with your eyes first!" Believe me, I knew before the first bite this was not going to be good. Do not waste your time or money! But considering that this is just a podunk town, these people are clueless! And don't let the pictures on the other reviews deceive you, what we ordered, and what we saw is no where anything...

I ordered the CFS (country fried steak) breakfast and it was delicious. You could tell that it wasn’t like the typical country fried steak that you could get somewhere like Cracker Barrel; This country fried steak was actually legit, fried to perfection and delicious! The eggs were made right, hash browns were good, and you can never go wrong with butter on toast.

My wife got the chocolate chip pancake and also thought it was delicious!

When you get there you pick where you want to sit, and they are there immediately to wait on you. They will even offer to reheat your coffee if you’re taking too long to drink it!

This place is an undiscovered gem, when you walk in you feel like you’re walking into your grandmas house. It feels like home. This food is down home comfort food at its finest. Everything was cooked to perfection, better than I could have ever imagined. We went there a week ago and the thought of this place and it’s food crosses my mind daily.
