Quite honestly the music was way too loud to enjoy the food due to the anxiety it caused by enhancing everyone else's conversations. When a booth on the other side of the restaurant was requested for medical necessity they placed us in a corner booth surrounded by other people instead of the empty side of the restaurant. Not that there were a lot of people only about 8 booths and like three families on the patios. However with schizophrenic paranoia and anxiety paranoia there was reason for the request to sit on the other side of the restaurant. It then took almost twenty minutes to get our two simple dishes out with very few check ins from staff on what was going on or to refill drinks or salsa. At least half of the staff we did encounter acted and smelled as if they hadn't been home to shower in a few days minimum and they were tired or just simply did not want to do their jobs. TL;DR Bacon, Chicken Cheese and Steak = Yum!
You may have though Paragould had enough Mexican Restaurants, but you'd be wrong. The menu is diverse enough to earn it's own place in Paragould's cuisine.
I had the Charles's Special (chicken cheese bacon and steak on a bed of rice). It was delicious. A lot of reviews say it's fairly priced, but considering the ratio of meat to rice, I'd say it's a steal.
My daughter had the Chicken Cheese and Rice and her only complaint was the addition of potatoes to the typical Mexican Rice (which taste amazing in my opinion).
My wife had the Pepe's Special. She said it was so good it made this her new favorite Mexican restaurant.
Service was well beyond expectations. We arrived 5 minutes before opening and the staff were courteous, accommodating and fast. Our food was out so fast I could hardly believe they didn't predict our orders and cook them ahead of time. Obviously everything was fresh and hot. When they seated us the server wiped off the table with his hand. We had to request him to wipe it with a towel. We were a Party of 9. Some of our party ordered queso with extra bowls. We finally received the bowls ten minutes after the queso. When we arrived there was two other tables before us. When they finally took our order nearly every table in the bar area was full and many of them had their food before they even took our order. We told the server we was ready to and he wouldjust walk away. When we received our order my husband had to wait another 5 minutes for his food. I looked inside my water glass, it was dirty with dried food. When we talked with the manager, she said" Im sorry" with as much sincerity as a pouting clown.Then they added an automatic 18% gratuity for tip. I will not be back.
