Stopped on the way home from Paris, and it was the first time. A sign on the door explained that they were short staffed and that there could be a wait. Figured, no big deal, and went in. We had 3 in front of us, but after a 10 minute wait, we all got seated. It was crowded, so that was a good sign. Our drink order was taken, and chips brought out, and I usually decide if I like place based on their chips and salsa. I'm glad I didn't tonight. The chips were a bit hard on some, and the salsa was more tomato than anything. It really had no cilantro flavor, which some will appreciate, but I love cilantro! We ordered the Fajitas Carmelitas, which has steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, carnitas and pork rib, with the usual plate of salad, guacamole, rice, beans, pico etc.Good tasting rice and beans, well seasoned meats, with the carnitas and shrimp tasting the best. Very good server, and even being shirt a few people, she never got flustered or forgot any...
Read moreI’ll start by saying the food is awesome! Which is the only reason we gave it a second chance. The service is painfully awful. Both times we have been there we have had to ask for drink refills and chip refills multiple times before we ever get one. The first visit, they were pretty busy so we just chalked it up to being short staffed. Gave it another try last night and service was worse than before and they were not busy. Had to ASK for chips AFTER we got our cheese dip. Chips are served with a huge bowl of salsa and about 12 chips. Had to wait forever for the server to come back by so you can ask for more chips, and a box, and a bill. Lots of standing around and very little service unless...
Read moreVacationing in the Paris Island area near Kentucky Lake, TN. The place looked like it had opened recently. The dining area was clean. The staff was friendly. The menu was more restaurant style than the typical Tex-Mex menu with too many items cluttering the pages. I ordered the enchiladas caesar and my wife ordered the chicken enchiladas. Be hungry when you're here. Our food was served on dinner platters. My enchiladas we large and stuffed full. I also had them with salsa verse, which I highly recommend! Their’table’ salsa was delicious with a bit of a kick. You’ll enjoy their food quality and service. Their prices are...
