I give a firm 3 stars. Would have been a strong 5 but after today. 12/22/2020, I really have my doubts. Since opening, the wife and kids and myself loved the staff and the service; food was just icing on the cake. At one time is was almost a routine 2x a month visit sometimes 4x a month. Then Covid happened. We still got drive thru after calling in. Service was still on point and the food still exceptional. Now that the indoor dining is back open, the staff has changed entirely and the service is unsatisfactory. Today, case in point; my wife and I came in after a couple. They were seated before us 1 booth over. We got our drinks and put in our order. My wife mentioned that the couple didnt even have their drinks yet. So I glanced over. Empty table. No silverware or menus. They were seated and left unattended. AND WE'RE 1 BOOTH OVER. We got our food, and the gentlemen gets up, approaches the waitress and asked to be served drinks. Waitress didnt have the courtesy to go to their table and take their order. They get their drinks and the waitress asked if they ready to order, clueless to the fact that they dont have menus. Didnt even apologize for the mistake. While returning with menus and silverware. My wife and I finished our meal and were paying, when they finally got their order. I insisted on paying for that couple's order, on account that NO ONE and I mean no one, should have to pay for services that they didnt recieve. Granted, yes I paid for it. They got their order, eventually. But the fact that the customer has to get up and chase down your service team to get service, is unacceptable and is bad business. As I type this, I am second guessing paying for their order; as I explained to your host at the register why I was paying for it. And I feel that even though I paid. I still think she charged them for it anyway and didn't bother to bring it up why. Attitudes like this will kill a business, quickly, especially those involving interactions...

Sushi (2 weeks later) - 22mins 15 secs is how long it took. Way better then the shoguns across town, - there I've waited 45mins to an 1hr for sushi.
Service SOP - Some helpful ideas to get 5 stars on service. When you seat people make sure they have utensils – Period. - Have waitress carry them in her apron along with straws and chop sticks. Note: My group of three was the only group that got plastic wear AFTER we ate sushi (used chop sticks) and got the hibachi. Then we had to ask for utensils and got plastic. Everyone else, even those coming after us, had normal utensils.
When the waitress is taking the order PLEASE repeat the order back to the customer then double check that it is correct/complete. One member didn’t get their whole order in before the waitress left.
When asking for refills, waitress should first get the refill and take care of the table which needs it, BEFORE taking orders from 3 other tables. Because they FORGET.
When food is delivered, the waitress needs to double check the food delivered that it matches the order, then look the table over seeing if anything is needed. We had missing salads, soup and one entree. Also I had to get napkins and soy sauce cups myself for the table. The person bringing the food left so fast, (place was full and very very busy) we weren't given the opportunity to ask for anything. ie silverware.
After a drink is spilled, please look over the whole area for puddles. Kid next to our table dropped a drink and that was cleaned up. However we had water on the other side of our table from the spill and it never...

We waited a solid 15 minutes before anyone took our order, then another 36 minutes before he returned saying they will start working on y’all’s order now (they had to make fresh rice) We told him that there were more orders going out the window and people walking in than going to the dine in costumers. He assured us that was only sushi orders being filled all the while we can clearly see them filling the Togo boxes with rice and steaks and veggies. He also stated that we were wrong about our timing that everything is logged as to when orders are put in. Little does he know I also have logged times from text and life 360.
