Captain Nemo's Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Park Falls

It started by the first phone call. Called to ask what time the grill was open, could hardly understand the bartender but made out "until I close." So we decided to give it a try.

Walked in and sat down at the bar. Was never asked if we wanted anything to drink - finally my friend had to tell the bartender he wanted a coke.

Both my friend and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and an appetizer of cheese curds. The bartender proceeded to take a frozen hamburger out of the freezer, put some sort of sauce on it, and put it in the microwave right in front of us for 45 seconds. He then took it out and served it directly to us. I was only able to take 2 bites out of the mush that came out of the microwave.

Never once was asked how the food was or if I wanted a drink... my friend got the coke and I went the whole meal without anything to drink or being asked if I would like something. I decided half way through the meal that I wasn't going to ask for anything else.

Only reason for the two stars is it was a nice atmosphere, would have gave a 1 star if the facility...

We rode 75 miles to Park Falls to eat lunch. We looked up online burger places and found Captain Nemo’s. There were 2 other people there and the place was rundown, but we thought we’d give it a try. The bartender was not friendly at all. My husband order a bacon cheese burger and cheese curds. I tried to order a burger and asked what came in it (you know like lettuce, tomato, mustard, etc) the bartenders response was, “um a burger and a bun.” My husbands food came. I sat and watched the bartender make it - In a microwave! It was terrible! My burger never came. But I really just wanted to leave. Just ordered cheeseburgers, fries and breaded mushrooms, the order was ready in less than 15 minutes, everything was fresh and hot and best cheeseburger I've had in a long time. I ordered curbside pickup, the order was brought out as soon as I got there, I didn't have to call they watched for my vehicle. AWESOME SERVICE, GREAT FOOD! I have tried a few local places for takeout, I would rate this bar/restaurant at the top of the list for flavor, size of food order and service. Thankyou, I well be back!
