General Custards Sips N’ Sweets — Restaurant in Park Hills

I want to preface that the girl at the register was nice, but the reason for this review is because I'm not sure she is trained very well. Could be wrong. Anyways, at ordering time we saw the note on their counter that we would have a 4% charge if we use a Credit Card. So I paid in cash. I felt the amount was off, even telling her I expected to be around $10.00 something. So when she asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes. I got charged the 4% anyways.

When I brought it up, she just said it was a new system and it's on all charges. So I'll told her they need to change their sign then because I would have paid with a card if I was going to be charged the 4% anyways. I also don't even think it's legal for them to charge a 4% fee just for the fun of it either.

And lastly, we felt the items were small for the price. I get the economy and such.

But change your sign if your going to charge the 4% fee on all transactions. That's false advertising and not legal.

Please train staff...

We ordered 3 ice creams and 2 concretes. They made our ice creams as another family was coming in. They waited on them and made their ice creams before making our concretes. It took at least 12 to 15 minutes to get our concretes after the ice cream. Because they chose to put us on the back burner for this other family. We would have liked to eat them together. We then asked the girl in charge (same girl) for lids to go. She said i will get them in a few minutes. They were right in front of her. She waited on a second family and did their order then walked away. There was a young lady at the register we asked her for lids and within 3 seconds she handed them to us. This was horrible customer service and a bad attitude and I don't understand why. We were very polite and even left a tip as we ordered. The ice cream was good but we will...

Always the best sweet treat you are looking for! They have a very large variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. More concrete varieties than you can imagine! The staff is always very professional and patient ( sometimes it takes a while to decide because of sooo many options) and courteous. Which says a lot because they are mostly young adults who are high school ages who work here. They also have an outside play area for the little ones and plenty of parking area for lots of customers to be there at the same time. Did I mention that the ice cream cones are a much better size for the same money as McDonald's or any type of place like that? They also feature a flavor (or two) of the month.
