Simmi's Bakehouse — Restaurant in Parkland

Honestly, one of the best cookies Ive had in a long time. Im a cookie addict and Ive tried all the best from larger competitors and even other well known brands in Orlando. Simmi wins on several fronts. First off, they are a true small business/mom and pop kind of operation which gives you a very welcoming vibe. For instance, I placed my order and wanted to make a substitution, sent an email, got a response almost immediately. Furthermore, when they dropped off my cookie, they had a little extra treat for me which was super sweet of them.

Now, for the cookies, I decided I wanted to do an unusual sampler so I did the Halva one, the smores and 2 seasonals:

Halva: I come from the Middle East and Halva is a very populat sesame based dessert there. This cookie was chalk full of it and it was delicious. The Halva tasted fresh and it complimented the pistachio beautifully. It was definitely my favorite

Smores: this was such a great cookie that my friend who is a smores addict couldnt get enough. The semi sweet choclatey center gives it such a decadent touch that it almost feels like its made with something else. My friend could have sworn there was even some Mozart liquor in there (we checked, there isnt). The toasty marshmallows on top gave it such a satisfying chewy crunch as well

Seasonals: we tried the cookie butter and the nutella, both were amazing!! The Cookie butter had a slight edge because I loved the filling, but my friend obliterated the nutella in one sitting.

Be careful, those cookies are dangerously addictive and delicious, I literally had a bite as I was sleeping. Now I have to run a marathon to burn it off. Its a great business and I hope they keep going...

I have to be honest, I love cookies. You really can’t go wrong, but you can certainly go really really right. Simmi’s hits it out of the park with their cookies. Like toppings and mix-ins in your cookies? They have them. Prefer the cookie mix itself? Theirs is sublime and the balance of each cookie is perfection. My favorite is the Oreo and Heath cookie but the chocolate chip and dark chocolate chip are right behind it. I bought their six pack and shared with my lunch mates, all of whom are incredibly judgmental with discerning palates. Here were some of their reviews:

Excellent cookies!! These cookies were gifted to me from a partnership with Sawgrass Ford! (They use Simmi’s Bakehouse as a thank you for doing business with them) And what a surprise to have these delivered to my doorstep! They are top notch in quality, appearance, and taste, competing with other national cookie chains, and even better in my opinion! The packaging was perfect, as they arrived unbroken in a nicely wrapped box! Each cookie came in a plastic sleeve labeled with a sticker noting the name and the ingredients they were made with, along with a little card about the history of the cookies and keeping the family tradition alive! As far as the taste, the cookies are thick and loaded with chocolate morsels, crushed vanilla cookies, sprinkles, etc depending on which flavors you get. I was able to try 2 huge cookies today and I will be ordering more of their other flavors! Some of my family members have been telling me to try these as they have ordered them before, and yes they were right! Support this local business, you won’t be disappointed!
