I'll just put this out here like I see it. A very honest hardworking friend of mine introduced me to this place. He promoted it and brought this man dozens of customers. He worked for him and always did the best he could for him. He's a professional HVAC man by trade and is fair and honest as they come. The building is old and run down and has never been updated. In fact, a lot of it is very substandard. Including the water line, which was ran with thin wall irrigation pipe. The pipe burst during the freeze and he asked my friend came to fix it. encountering the improper piping, he informed the owner it need completely redone, the owner was not interested in completely replacing the line at the time. Being HVAC by trade, he needed some supplies to complete the repair. Stores had closed so he called him to let him know he'd return the next day and instructed him to close the meter box. He failed to do so and it froze. My friend spent time thawing it out and fixed the pipe the best he was able to without replacing the entire supply line. He was just trying to get the water going so they could open. The owner also was working on something so they didn't energize the system yet. He was given a bill, accepted it and my friend left. When the owner finished his repair, he just slammed the water on instead of opening faucets and easing pressure into the line. This caused the line to snap again. Instead of being a decent grown man and calling my friend, he proceeded to publicly bash him for being a crook and accusing him of knowingly breaking the line and leaving it. That is not the person my friend is at all and it was completely unfair and off color to do this. If he was not happy, my friend would have made it right to him, he's just that kind of guy. The issue is the owner doesn't understand how his actions led to his problem. He was charged the time spend for the repair which did not even cover the money my friend would have made if he had just focused on his work load and not took time to help this man. The owner completely overlooked how good my friend has treated him and completely overlooked how he promoted his business and is personally responsible for dozens of people going there. I know, because he convinced my to try it and I personally have brought at least a dozen people there. His wife is a lovely person and the food is very good but I can't overlook a person dragging a good man through the mud when...
Read moreThe experience was really good. I went to eat Thai, and that was what I got. I have my suggestions, but considering they just opened in June, I'm sure that they will grow.
The food-
I first ordered a delicious ginger honey iced tea. That was so delicious. If you're really into Southern sweet tea, this is nothing like it. lol 😆 it was perfectly sweet and spicy. The honey gave it a silky spicy feeling in my mouth. It was so good, I was afraid to drink it all at once. I would definitely order less ice or ice on the side next time.
I really enjoyed my food. It was filling. I ordered the Thai Cashew with chicken mild. Honestly, i wish i had some heat on the side, but i didn't want to ruin the taste i had ... & The menu says no refunds for too spicy and having to pay 2.00 extra to sub my water chestnuts for 4 pieces of brocolli, i didn't want to take the chance, so i just ate on. It was a little greasy, but the flavor was on point, just personally missing that heat. The dish looks small for the price you're paying, but with the rice combined in it, it's really filling and is well worth every cent. The spring rolls were definitely on point, and the sweet and sour sauce that came with it made the spring roll experience delightful.
The service - my server was delightful - I don't know her, but she was so polite welcoming and very friendly. She really enjoys being there.
The atmosphere - I went around 6 pm, I believe, on a Thursday, and it wasn't lively. There were few people. Honestly, I didn't want to be there during a busy time of the day. But the AC was blaring, and I had wished I had my sweater. Also, it's a block or so off the water, so it's going to be colder down this way.
It's very casual and laid back, calm & relaxing. The music was classical instrumentals. I like that it looked & felt very clean and welcoming.
It's in the middle of nowhere if you're from a city. But it's a gem. I am so happy that I dont have to drive all the way to Jackson or Nashville when I am craving Thai.
Also it's vegetarian friendly they have tofu for all my veggis friends out there so just inform them! Let them know before you start ordering so they can let help you to modify or inform you of any animal product, i.e... egg or meat or fish sauce or w.e.
Anywho, I am so excited to go...
Read moreUpdate 11/15/23 The quality is absolutely changing and they're becoming inconsistent. Last Friday? I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and tofu (because I do like tofu) and the tofu was literally fried to death and it was sooo tough it was like attempting to eat an old sponge. I had to pick it out and throw it away. The dish was also EXTREMELY bland and not at all spicy. The crab rangoon tasted VERY fishy. Major fail. So this evening I decided to try it (I've eaten here regularly since they opened) and ordered the red curry with chicken and extra chicken.. wasn't going to risk inedible tofu again. Firstly, thai curry is very soup like to begin with, however what I received was at least over 3/4 "soup" with a very tiny amount of vegetables and meat and the MEAGER serving of white rice that came with it, I was astounded. If this trend continues, I sincerely doubt I'll frequent this place much. It was absolutely not worth the $27 for a meal for 1. For consistent excellent thai food, I have no problem paying that. My husband already won't eat from here after he got some terrible yellow curry a few months ago.
This place is absolutely worth a try. I had the red curry with chicken and tofu, while my other half had the Tiger Garlic and Pepper with beef. The food was delicious. We also had Nime Chow, which they called Thai Salad Rolls. The peanut sauce had a great flavor but was too thick for dipping so I took the accompanying vinegar and mixed it into the peanut sauce and it was perfect.
We will definitely...
