I have brought my ladies lunch group here several times over the last few years…anywhere from 10 to 15 of us. Never an issue. But last Thursday, September 18, I have to say was kind of a game changer for me.
There were 10 of us and we were seated on the patio. Our food came and I have to say, everything was beautifully prepared. I reached over and got a bottle of ketchup for my fries, popped the lid open, and the entire thing exploded completely drenching me in ketchup. It was in my hair, my face, running down my neck, and completely soaked the blouse I was wearing. I looked like Sissy Spacek in the movie Carrie…not kidding. My friends jumped up and tried to help me clean up as best they could, we all starting laughing…because, after all, it was funny. But nobody from the restaurant tried to help in any way. They were told about it and they could see I was literally covered in ketchup and they just went on about their business. I handed the ketchup bottle to the waitress and asked her to throw it away so no one else would eat spoiled ketchup. She just laughed and said ok. One of my friends said to the waitress “she should at least get her lunch for free”, but they completely ignored her. I never expected to get my lunch for free…that’s not who I am…accidents happen. But when I got my bill a tip was also included for me to pay. So I paid it, went on my way to Kohls to buy a new blouse because I had many errands to run that day while I was I town.
Anyway, not good PR at all! Maybe at least don’t leave your ketchup out in the sun. I would never want this to happen to anyone else. And if you are going to make someone pay for getting drenched in a bottle of ketchup that you left out to spoil, be gracious enough to not ask them to give you a tip.
I probably won’t be bringing my group of ladies back which is very...
Read moreTried this place because it has some good reviews and I don’t know if I went on an off day for them but my family and I did not have the best experience. The food was okay, it took a while for it to come out,we ordered an omelette and chilaquiles and the waffle, the chilaquiles and omelette had too much cream on top and they were greasy. The hash brown tasted like it had been cooked in animal fat which is fine unless you are veg, but it did taste a little strong. All would have been fine( I know everyone has their way of cooking) I would have given 4 stars but the service was not great. The avocado on the omelette had gone bad and when I told the server he brought out a new side of avocado and said that sometimes they come out bad and that that’s just how it is. I totally understand that and appreciated that he brought out more and tried to make it right except for the fact that this New avocado was worse. I wish I had taken a picture of how rotten this thing was on the underside but I was annoyed at this point as we had not finished our food and had already been given the check and they where cleaning up/ closing around us and it was not closing time yet(it was 15min til close, we got there an hour before)so we felt like we where being pushed out. I will try again a different day and go in earlier to see if it’s different and will...

The menu at Brother's Cafe packs a flavorful punch with well-curated selections. A particular highlight and a testament to the café's culinary prowess is the Chorizo Eggs Benedict. This dish is a masterful reimagining of the classic Eggs Benedict. The chorizo, with its rich and slightly spicy flavor, perfectly complements the velvety hollandaise sauce, while the eggs are poached to a tender, runny perfection. Served on a warm, toasted English muffin, each component comes together to create a dish that is not only comforting but also deeply satisfying. It's easy to see why this dish stands out as one of the best meals one could have.
Another must-try, exclusive to weekends, is the Birriaquiles. This off-menu gem is Brother's Cafe's unique take on the traditional chilaquiles, infused with the savory, rich flavors of birria. The dish is a brilliant blend of textures and tastes, with tender meat and just the right amount of heat, topped with fresh cilantro and a drizzle of creamy sauce. It's a flavorful journey that encapsulates the innovative spirit of the...
