Don Juan's Romantic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Payne Springs

This place doesn’t even deserve one star! Absolutely the worst place ever. The owner has absolutely no customer service skills and the place leaves a lot to be desired. My first time to ever visit this establishment and I will not be returning!! ##EDIT: Sorry had to come back on here after reading the managers/owners response. He feels the need to go into full detail once again arguing with the customer who should be considered always right even if they aren’t right. I chose to leave the details out as to not be childish but since he felt the need to put it all out there then let’s do that. He blatantly lies trying to defend himself claiming I said I wanted chili on my bean burrito when I was never asked that question. The only time we discussed chili was pertaining to the enchiladas I ordered for my kids. He claims I waited 30 minutes to call and say the order was wrong when I don’t even live but maybe 10 minutes away and I called as soon as I got home. He also says he apologized to me and he did no such thing. What he did do was treat me horribly and blame me for my food being wrong. I have never been treated that way at any establishment. Maybe he was having a bad day I don’t know but he doesn’t get to own a business and take it out on his customers. He also claims I was cussing at employees no I cussed at him and he deserved it. My husband was with me and was just as appalled as I was. In addition he actually got food from them and was displeased with the food so he left his own review. Wanted to try this place because its near our new house. Was disappointed because the only items close to being authentic Mexican food was the rice and beans. The food selection is similar to what you would find at a bowling alley or some kind of snack shack. We chose the $9 combination plates so we could sample a few items. We also took our order to go since there were people inside standing around without a mask. WORSE PART was the packing of the drive thru orders. I was handed 1 plate covered with foil. Then another plate also covered with foil. Then 2 separate small bags. SO THIS PLACE DOESN'T USE COVERED TO GO PLATES OR EVEN BAGS🤦 I had to carry the plates stacked on top of each other & then hope not to drop the 2 small bags or the contents. Needless to say - we will not be returning to Don Juan's. AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ROMANTIC...

Came in, and when our turn I greeted the girl but no response as if I had said nothing. I was like ok. She didn’t asked us if it was all for our order after I said two quesadillas, then I said I would also like, and proceed to finish my order. She was rude to only us because with everyone else she was cool, which I don’t understand I was super friendly, but whatever it is what it is. We ordered two chicken quesadillas, one nacho supreme, one chalupa two jarritos and one Mexican Coke the total was 29 and change. It was the worst 29 bucks we ever spent. The chicken quesadillas had just cheese and three tiny pieces of chicken the chalupa was not a chalupa it was a small tostada the only decent thing we got were the nacho supreme and drinks. I do not recommend this place. I will never be coming here again. First and last time...
