Just my first visit, but not that impressed with the meats served. The place and the people are friendly and the pies (many) looked good. Just bought a slab of ribs and a pound of sliced brisket. If not for the bbq sauce It wouldn't have been that good. Some bar-b-que places make su h lip smackin good 'que you wouldn't need a sauce because it was seasoned properly and cooked slowly. The ribs were charred without a rub or sauce on it while smoked? Or just grilled? Ok, maybe they must want you to put your own type sauce on it. Maybe they had a few different kinds?..no, just one..tastes like Kraft Mesquite bbq...anyways it was tender just too charred all across. If you put enough sauce on it..the char dissipates. I would have loved to eat all the ribs, but after 4 days..most were still in the take home wrapper. Maybe they had an "off" day..everyone does. In the food business..you can't do that to people eating your food. If they have a new pit person..next time will try again. To the owner- watch a few YouTube videos about Franklin Bbq Austin,TX...they have people standing in line for 3- 4 hours to get in...a 5 star bbq..or Pecan Lodge in East Dallas...they are top 10 places to eat...

Where to begin.... First off, just keep driving, don't stop. Don't order any food, just keep driving. If B4 bbq and Boba was open on a Monday or Tuesday, I wouldn't have even tried this joke of a bbq place.

Brisket was tough, had absolutely no flavor, no smoke ring and no bark. This is the cheapest meat I have ever had the displeasure of eating. The meat cutter was extremely friendly but when I say lean, I don't want the fat cut off. There's a lean/flat side and a moist/point. Lean doesn't mean cut the fat, bark and flavor off. A simple YouTube or Google search would clarify alot of things for these small town restaurants trying to claim they're a bbq joint. A few dollars in seasoning would go a long way on top of learning the lingo of bbq.

Okra was pretty good. Seems to be homemade but I'm not certain. Coleslaw tasted like it wasn't washed...

We live walking distance from this restaurant and have been meaning to try it for months. We finally went today and we were pleasantly surprised by the folks working here. They have a wide variety of items on their menu, something for everyone. There is an open spacious dining room, and the staff could not have been friendlier. We both had the barbecue stuffed baked potato, and it was ok.. we also tried sausage and turkey. We didn’t particularly enjoy the meat. None of it tasted like it had been smoked at all. I am not sure how they’re cooking the meat but you don’t smell or taste smoke. There was no flavor. Generous portion sizes, As much as anything we really appreciated how friendly all of the people were and seemed genuinely interested in us having a good experience. We hope the food improves to match the goodness of the people...

I had a 2 meat plate w an additional hot link. Brisket was by far the best part of the plate and fhe cowboy beans would be second. Cajun Link wasn’t bad but for cajun it wasn’t spicy but did.have good flavor. The hot link was a summer sausage at best and not hot nor spicy. The macaroni and cheese was watery and didn’t have a lot of flavor. The service was pretty good. The checkout after dining in was a cluster. The atmosphere is what I would expect from a small town diner.
