I'd like to say that this review is specifically for Rt. 1 Peabody location. I have had wonderful experiences at other locations. Today at about 345pm I was coming back from a job with my coworker and while traveling on rt 1 south we saw a Bagel World location. Being very hungry from a day of labor and having had past positive experiences at different B.W. locations we decided to pull in for a quick bite. After arriving, parking our truck and stepping out we were immediately accosted by what we believed at the time to be a parton of BW. ; an old white woman who immediately approached us and rudely exclaimed: who are you? Not feeling obligated to introduce ourselves to a total stranger in an open to public bagel shop parking lot we inquired who she was only to get same question turned back at us in even more abrupt of fashion. Although we were by that point suspecting that this woman was in mental distress and even became concerned for her well being we did decide to ask if she's somehow associated with the bagel shop only to get a " I'm the one who's about to call police" response " which confirmed the theory that she was in fact employed or somehow associated with bagel shop. Not wanting to agro this woman further we explained that we just wanted to grab a quick sandwich and be on our way. She still in a very rude way told us she was closed and she was in fact the owner of the location and we were blocking her loading dock even though out vehicle was in a clearly defined parking space and it was only few minutes before 4pm . Young fellow ( probably employee) who came out and stood by her side by this point seemed mortified by her demeanor and his gaze was quite apologetic. We wished him luck and left. I will never return or recommend this location to anyone. I also run a local food review channel on YouTube and will be making a video about this...

Northshore bagel chain known for its simple and affordable bagels. I've been venturing outside Boston to try some of the top bagel spots praised by locals and NY/NJ transplants. The consensus is that Bagel World ranks within the top 5 in the GBA. At first glance, it looks like your typical suburban bagel shop with basic flavor options. However, these hand-rolled bagels surprised me not only with their price but also their texture. I had my fair share of NY bagels, and I found the texture of these bagels very similar to the ones I had in Manhattan. Granted, some of the varieties were a bit doughier than what I usually prefer. Most of their sandwiches were also under $7, which is almost unheard of in Boston, where sandwiches typically cost around $12-15.

Among the sandwiches I tried, my favorites were the Roast Beef & Smoked Turkey sandwich and a simple bagel sandwich with strawberry lite cream cheese. Despite the low price, they were surprisingly generous with the toppings. They also offered some unique options, like the Pulled Pork sandwich and the Bagel Caprese sandwich. Both were enjoyable, but the earthy flavor of the sprouts and other vegetables in the Pulled Pork sandwich didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Definitely the best value bagels I’ve found in the state so far. Due to the scarcity of good bagels in Boston, all the new bagel shops seem to aim for “exclusive” and artisanal bagels, which usually come with a hefty price tag. While Bagel World might not draw the typical Boston foodie crowd, their bagel sandwiches are perfect for everyday commutes. I only wish they had a location closer to the city. But if I'm ever passing through the area, I’ll definitely be grabbing one of...

After giving this place 100 chances,I am done.Aside from the food lately being hit or miss, their coustemer service is terrible. Today afte i order a sandwich at the drive through, I was waiting to order something else too, they never asked if I wanted to add to the order. After waiting for 5 min,and even honk to get their attention I moved forward to the next window, because was another car behind me.When I got there I told the girl that I was waiting to add to my order for 5 min,and she said it's not true, and she will not add another bagel to my order and I have to get in line again. She was very rude, even threatening to call the police.I asked to speak with a manager, she refused to call one, claiming she is the one.She said she couldn't hear me because was a big noise coming from a big truck nearby. She was very rude, and I was very offended by her.I felt like they were giving me food for free.I understand is hard to find good help these days, but I never see such a poor service anywhere. From what I read from other reviews this location has this problem alot, and the owners doesn't care obviously, or they treat their employees so bad ,that they don't care if they get fired. The good bagels will...

I really hate to have to change my review, but the last few times I've come to this location, it has been absolutely terrible. I waited 25 minutes in order toasted bagel with cream cheese. It wasn't toasted, and it was actually cold like it hadn't been baked this morning but have been sitting in the refrigerator because it was previously baked. It barely had any cream cheese. I don't know what has happened to make bagel world's bagels such poor quality, but I could have had a better bagel at Dunks. It wasn't fresh or chewy and was just cold and tasted old. Went to bagel world and didn't get treated like crap! I guess this location is better than the Salem location. The wait was long but so worth it 😈

I picked up some bagels Monday morning and found it odd that my bill was an even number. When I got home I looked at the receipt and found that there was an error with the math. I submitted my issue to Bagel World via their website contact form and as of today (Thu, Sep.1st) I have not heard back from anyone. There is either an issue with the register that needs to be corrected immediately or there is an entry error by the employee. Either way, I need this issue addressed. As for their product, I love their bagels and spreads and have been getting bagels from them for many years. Service is hit or miss and depends on location, time of day, and the employee. Not the friendliest, but efficient.
