Delta Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Peach Bottom Township

I always hate leaving a bad review but I must at times.....Where to start? So the restaurant itself was clean and tidy and it was busy. Overall the staff was efficient and we were seated after a short wait. This is where the 5 star rating ended. We waited for nearly 10 minutes for our server to come to our table, meanwhile other folks were seated and drink orders taken. When our waitress finally came to our table she very flatly and unenthusiastically asked,"do you know what you want?" I was so startled by her tone and attitude that it took me a second to ask her if she could take our drink order which she did and then left....she was openly rude and I wanted to leave but my sweet wife convinced me to stay. We were, after all, in Delta, PA and not being from the area, were unsure of where the next dinner would be.

It didn't take too long for our drinks to come, but several tables that arrived after us were already receiving their meals. The waitress took our order and just over 20 minutes later we got our food. In that 20 minutes, our server never came back to our table to get us refills while other tables were refilled and checked on several times....so we were at the restaurant just under 35 minutes by this time. The food was good enough.

I'd like to believe that my server was just having a bad day; hopefully that's true...I will point out that there were several servers that were on the ball so I'd also like to believe that had we gotten a different server this review would be different...regardless, 1 star and if I find myself in Delta again, I will pass this place up but judging by how busy they were, i am sure they won't miss me...

I used to come here a lot when I was a kid. This place holds a lot of good memories for me and my family so I really hate to leave a bad review but I feel like I have to. My boyfriend and I decided to eat there for lunch today. We were seated at a dirty table with no placemats or silverware. We both work in restaurants so we fully understand getting a little behind after a Sunday rush, so we were willing to excuse the state of the table. Our waitress came and got our drink orders (I got coffee and he got a soda) and she seemed very nice. We both ordered chicken pot pie which came with a soup. My boyfriend finished his drink before the soup got there and put his empty cup on the edge of the table in Hope's that our waitress would notice and get him a refill. She did not. Then our entrees came he finally had to ask her for a refill. We sat with our food in front of us waiting for silverware and drinks. When we finally started eating, we both could only stomach a couple of bites of the pot pie. It was sour and tasted spoiled. We left still hungry and feeling sick to our stomachs. The only reason I tipped our waitress is because I'm too nice. We shouldn't have even paid...

Been coming here for years. Overall generally good food. The French onion soup was delicious but too salty, couldn't even finish the broth (and I love salt!). The dinner salad has 1 slice of cucumber and 1 baby tomato, which was a little disappointing considering the toddler at the table took both of those! So then just left with a plate of lettuce lol then our server went mia and I had to ask another server to help us a couple times and then finally asked her to find our server cause I felt bad asking someone else to do work for us when she wasn't going to be getting our tip. Parking is adequate and they do have a changing table and high chairs with (not broken) seat belts! While this review may not sound all positive, I've had many great experiences at this restaurant and still highly recommend coming here! Has that great small town charm and the food is generally...
