Ma & Pa Pizza — Restaurant in Peach Bottom Township

Completely disgusted at this hole in the walls food and treatment by the owner. Our $50 burger and stromboli order on 11-14-17 was delivered after an hour and a half. Stromboli...not bad. The burger and fries...inedible. Buns were wet, meat was a ball shape and cold. Fries....do I need to even say anything? I called them and Michael stated the pizza oven was packed and the burgers set under the warmer for an hour. He offered credit for the burgers. Tonight we ordered 4 burgers and fries thinking they would cook at the same time and arrive edible. Wrong!! Again, burgers COLD. Our buns wet and tearing through the paper wrappers. Lettuce and tomatoes were liquefied (from the heat lamp no doubt). The fries had all but taken on a life of their own. It was so appaling. I spoke to a female manager who argued that it's impossible for things to get cold. I opted to drive down there....We live exactly 1 mile from this place which we will NEVER give them money again.......and show her the food. The owner came out and he refused to look at it. REFUSED!! He wadded it up and started calling me a liar. I was shocked. I said that a simple appology goes a long way and he refused to acknowledge anyone would ever be unhappy with there "food". He was very rude and dismissive trying to intimidate me. It was very unsettling. I wanted nothing more than to get him to see what We keep getting for our $. This last order cost me $15 to add on the extra burger and fries. We have spent several hundred dollars at this place in the single year we've lived here. We like the pizza enough but at $19 for 1 pizza it gets expensive quickly. The only reason this place is still open is because there is no fast food, no other pizza joint near here and basically zero competition. Do yourself a favor and never order the cheese steak sandwich or fried chicken (we spent $55 on fried chicken meals for 4 people. It tasted like bad grease and was rubbery). I'm sad to see how lacking the food is here on the East coast in this sad little city but I'm shocked at the lack of morality and class from a business owner that pawns off some truly disgusting "food" at ridiculous prices. We ordered take out For delivery a pizza plus a sandwich plus a large Caesar salad. Told them they were delivering to a business and asked for extra salt I know I like to put it on my pizza kind of weird but it is my thing. Called back less than a minute later to tell them please bring plates and Napkins we don't have any. Talk to a man to start with a woman to tell her we needed plates she said she note it. Only mentioning this because it's important the driver arrives. I asked her if she remembered to bring plates and napkins she said no one told me. I think if you're going somewhere with that type of order you should bring them just in case maybe even keeping them in the car. Silly me for wanting to run a business correctly. The driver then boasted but I brought you salt. We had a large pizza and a large cheesestake and a large Caesar salad. No Napkins no plates and 3 tiny packages of salt. Because of the drive I did tip her $15 much more than 20% I had it all together when she walked in the door I thought it would be rude to pull it out in front of her. Thinking well at least I got my salt because she boasted about it. Trust me if had I known there were 3 salt packets I would have taken at least $5 back our bill was not $50 but I did pay $65. I was thinking it was only fair because it was at night and she probably didn't make a lot the least I could do was help I lived off a tip once. The pizza was edible the Cheese steak not cheesy enough Barely knew there was any on it. The salad was there but only one small dressing to mix into a large salad. Ma and PA has the best pizza hands down. We have tried so many different pizza and seriously, this place's pizza is the best. Whenever we have company and order it they always agree, best they ever had. Having said that, I highly doubt we will ever order from here again. The last few times we ordered the experience has been awful. We have waited for delivery for over two hours. And that wasn't even during 'dinner time' rush. Last night was the final straw. It took my husband 10 minutes to order 1 med. Supreme pizza and 1 Chicken tender meal. My husband would state what we want, and the guy on the phone would not respond. After a few minutes my husband was ask, hello? The guy would say, I'm here but nothing else. Once the order was in we were told pick up ready time was an hour. So we asked for it to be delivered because that time was also an hour. When the food came the pizza was cold, the fries were cold and again, med supreme pizza and chicken tenders the total was $36.
