Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Pearl

Nov. 24 2018 9pm. 4 other vehicles in spots to eat. And me. Order a 3piece chxn tender. Only tenders. Med order Moz sticks and Large Coke. Girl on mic has it keyed in on screen for 3piece tender combo. I make her aware of the mistake. 30 second pause. I repeat my order. 3 tend. med. Stick. Lg. Coke.... A boy gets on the mic and informs me that the combo on the screen is correct because the system will sub side for side. Tots for Cheese stick. I apologized and was confused. The girl gets back on mic with what I would call an "over it" attitude. Her delivery was picked up if you know what I mean..... Order comes out. ......2 tenders. Tots and a medium Coke is what the girl hands me. Didnt notice the 3rd tender MIA until after the fact. ... I was confused and asked where the cheese stick and lg Coke are and yall this girl starts to explain why it's wrong and I could feel myself about to go off. Instead I laughed it off and told no no it's fine no big deal etc etc ... Pray for the employees of the Hwy 80 Sonic...

I normally love Sonics but my lunch the other day was quite disappointing. I got the double stack cheeseburger special I had seen a commercial for... And let me say what I got looked nothing like the commercial. There was hardly any cheese. As a matter of fact... I had to pull my burger apart to even see that there was any melted cheese on it at all. I also got a pretzel stick. It was good and hot when I got it, but they forgot my cheese dip that was supposed to come with it. I called on the speaker and they said they would bring it out with an additional item I ordered. It took forever to get it and by the time I did, my pretzel stick was cold. The tots were hot and good as always though and you can't beat their cherry limeade. I still love Sonics and would eat there again... Just very disappointed in...

I went to this particular sonic a couple of months ago, back to back by a couple of days. It was one of the worst experiences I've had. The food took forever to arrive and once it did it was cold. You're probably thinking, that doesn't make sense. I know. I didn't get it either.

I say all that to say this; I decided to give them another try. I'm all about giving people 2nd chances and I'm glad I did. The food took just enough time that it was nice and warm. It was still warm when I got home. It tasted better than the one in the same area and that's saying a lot because I always go to that one. I may have to change that. I think they're under new management since the 2 previous times I went.
