This used to be a very good place to get vegetarian indian food (so much so that we drive for 2hrs to come eat here) with ridiculously cheap prices.
However, my recent experience has been below satisfactory. The prices have all increased (still lower than any restraunt). But more importantly, the quality has dropped. For instance, they removed the sambar counter (where you can help yourself with hot sambar). Now, they prepack a small bowl of cold sambar for you. Their reason for removing the counter is that kids spoil the counter. But that doesn't seem reasonable, kids should be told not to approach the counter, or take someother measure. Removing the counter is unacceptable.
Even other food items like cutlet and puri are served cold. Almost everything we ate was bland with insufficient salt and spice. Their reason is probably again to accommodate kids, but, there should be less spicy kids food separated from regular food. Cold and bland food is simply...
Read moreBelow average restaurant with food tasting like boiled water with spices and extremely limited menu. Very long waiting times on simple things like Dosa which comes out very oily with probably used oil since it leaves a scratchy throat. The service person at counter is extremely unprofessional and rude. They used to have unlimited sambhar (even though it taste bad) but even that option is gone only one small sambhar now, with prices raised to restaurant levels and no service at all. Dirty floor and dirty tables (you can eat one week and still come back next week to see same dried food spilled on table), long waiting, zero serving staff except rude and slow counter people. Do yourself a favor by not degrading yourself by visiting this so called restaurant which is only focused on making maximum profit by raising prices with zero service or taste. Can post pictures of extremely dirty tables , floors, restrooms if...

We ordered about 8 dishes, totaling around $55. Unfortunately, the experience fell short across the board.
The idly was hard, the vada had a sour aftertaste, and both the sambar and chutneys were sub-par and lacked flavor. The poori sabji was underwhelming, with a bland sabji, while the tamarind rice lacked salt, and the curd rice was just passable.
The only item that stood out was the aloo bonda, which was decent, but only if eaten without the accompanying sambar and chutneys. The mango lassi was...
