If you’re in the mood for a burger you can’t go wrong with the Scooter’s Burger! This double beef patty burger and fries will hit the spot. First off the burger and fries is only $9.99! You can’t get a combo for that anywhere. The bun was big and fluffy which made the burger that much better. The patty, which I normally base a good burger on was cooked perfectly. The amount of spices added was beautifully done. I asked for medium well, and it was executed perfectly. This will be my go to for burgers from here on out. Next time I come up too be for the crawfish. Review to be continued…

I went back for the crawfish … unfortunately I was not impressed. Presentation was good, flavor was not. First off the crawfish/potatoes/corn were not steaming hot. The taste was not good. The sausage, potatoes, and corn were not cooked with the crawfish because they didn’t taste like the seasoning. I’ve had a lot of crawfish in my lifetime, so I know I know what good crawfish and seasoning should taste like. This was not good. I added a picture because they looked pretty but that was about it. I won’t be going back for crawfish there again. I also ordered the boudin balls and the Texas tea. The balls were mushy on the inside—-I didn’t like the consistency and the flavor was off. The tea was huge but the taste was not good—-too strong. I’ve had plenty of long Islas iced teas so I’m pretty sure I know what to expect. Sent it back twice but still did not taste good. Need less to say, I didn’t finish the crawfish, didn’t finish the boudain balls, and gave my $15 drink to my BIL. I so wanted to enjoy this meal. I left very sad and disappointed.

Ate at steamboat bills in Lake Charles last weekend for the first time and was very impressed. Found out there was one right close to home and we went there today to pick up an order to take home ONLY to be extremely disappointed!!! The portion size when you order a large fish plate ($25) and large shrimp plate also ($25) compared to the one in Lake Charles. Prepare yourself to only be getting half the amount of food at the one in Houston. Plate is only worth maybe $15 at the most. The fish fillets are less than a half inch thick and the shrimp are tiny. SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED In Lake Charles the fish fillets were over an inch thick, and the shrimp were medium size and very filling. I will drive all the way back to Lake Charles to get better quality versus go to this location again. The staff was very friendly, but the food was definitely not worth the price. Not even worth half the price. You can see in the photos I have attached the thickness of the fish fillets maybe a half inch thick and the popcorn shrimp that was in my hand. Can’t even call it a medium size shrimp. In Lake Charles for the large plate we were given a minimum of 30 shrimp and at the Houston location. We literally counted 16 popcorn shrimp. And 4 very VERY thin...
