Popped by El Churrasco for a tequila, cervesa and a bite of food. I ordered chorizo dip and chicken quesadilla. The queso is always think and creamy with rich cheese flavor. Love the quesadilla, as you can see -- I already have a photo from a previous visit. Here's Mimo serving my tequila shot. He is always smiling and enjoys engaging with the patrons. Next time you are at the intersection of Hwy 178 & Hwy 302 in Pelion, SC, pull in to El Churrasco for good food and drink with nice ambiance.

June 2025 Back at El Churrasco! Grabbed a shot of Herradura Silver Tequila with an iced cold Victoria, chips and salsa and an order of Chorizo Dip.

I tried something new. I like to switch it up a bit -- I went with the Grilled Chicken Salad. The avacado was at the perfect stage of ripening. I got a Corn Chicken Quesadilla -- to go, but initially served on a plate for the photo. Delish!! Salsa has just the right bite! You must get here and try yourself!!

Not sure how to rate this place since we didn't even stick around to eat. Went at 5pm on a Friday. Place is a ghost town. There are 2 customers sitting in a booth. Bar is completely empty with bo customers or even a bartender. We can hear all the staff back in the kitchen but there is 0 staff out on the floor. Never been here before so im not sure if you wait to be seated or you are supposed to seat yourself since there was not a sign telling you. We chose to stand there and wait for 5 minutes. We gave up at that point since its apparent the customer service is non exisistant and went down the road to Don pepe where we enjoyed a wonderful meal with...

Update: Stopped in today with another couple. Wife and I ordered same as in past visits (Carnitas Dinner and Vegetable Quesadilla). Pork was very dry/overcooked and portion very reduced. Wife quesa was nothing like before...new were rice and beans and missing was avocado, salad, sour cream. Pretty disappointed and probably won't make the long drive again.

Initial review: Stopped in after picking some local strawberries. This was the first visit. Had the special of the day...Carnitas. Food and service was excellent...and really liked the presentation of the food...shows something extra about the restaurant and...
