I Order out from China city and that was my first and last mistake! Before I begin just want to let u know this is my first review ever, I dont usually do this even If I didn't like the service provided! Here I go, I get home after handing over 40 dollar to China city and open up the chicken wing and bite it. After completing the first wing, I said "DAMN THAT GOOD". Thinking the it was a set up to a great meal! DAMN WAS I WRONG. It was all down hill fast from there!! First the special fried rice was horrible( I swear it tasted like uncle Ben instant rice with vegetables and meats! The low mien tasted like week old over cooked paste with low mien sauce! My brother in law said the general Tao taste like a Chinese funnel cake!!!!LMAO then I look at it and broke a piece in half and there u go four time more breading then chicken! My father said the Kung pao was decent, no more to be said I didn't try it! The eggrolls tasted like burnt oil! To conclude this review I know it hard to find a good and consistent Chinese restaurant to enjoy but I never would though for it to...
Read moreOf all the Chinese restaurants I've tried in the area, this is my favorite. Over the past year this is always my go-to place for takeout. On a side note, microwaving the leftovers also tastes great the second time around, as much of the flavor is preserved. Their Crab Rangoons are also very tasty. And, when my throat is scratchy or I get a cold with chills, their hot and sour soup saves the day. In my opinion, the bad reviews must be due to regional cuisine preferences, but for me I'll always choose China City over any other Chinese takeout in...
Read morePerhaps it's because it was ordered in the evening but all the food tasted old. Like it'd been sitting for a while and saturated in oil. Overall, it was passable but not good enough to ever go back or get seconds. Nearly spending $60 for a huge tub of fried rice and three VERY small proteins is ridiculous. No one needs that much rice. The entrees were all side dish size portions. Pepper steak was more pepper and onions than steak, the Gen Tso Chicken and honey chicken, again tasted (and looked) old. It came with fried wantons. Can't tell you how they tasted because they were fried into oblivion. If we got all this for $25-$30, I wouldn't be...
