My spouse and I went there to have a nice dinner. When we got there, we were asked if we wanted to sit in the bar area, there are high-tops in the bar area that are first come, first serve. When we got to the bar, there was a two-top that was empty, but there was a hand written note on notebook paper that said “Reserved for Diane 5:30”. So we sat at an open four-top, and the bartender asked us if there was four of us. We said just us two and she said that it was reserved for four and told is to take the two top. My spouse responded “that has a note that its reserved” and the bartender shrugged as if to say “oh well!” I told my spouse to forget it, then the bartender said something derogatory and everyone at the bar turned and looked at us. We decided to leave. It is very disappointing as we were really looking forward to a nice dinner. We felt like we were treated like second-class citizens. It’s more disappointing as both our families grew up eating at Cafe Christina’s and Christina’s. The hostess attempted to remedy it, but I just wanted to...
Read moreIt's been many many years since we've been there, so we thought we'd go back. Short version: Good food, long wait. Our water and bread (good bread) was brought to us by a young server very quickly. It was kind of a long time before our waitress actually got to us, and it was 20 minutes after we'd arrived before our drinks came and our order was taken. Once the food arrived, we ate fairly quickly, no dessert, and finally left 1:25 after we'd arrived. I think that if you're with a group of friends and are chatting up a storm, this is perfect. But a couple that's been married for decades just doesn't have enough fresh conversation to fill an hour and a half.
The food was quite good. I was concerned that after such a long delay, it might be sitting under a heat lamp waiting for the waitress, but it was definitely fresh off the grill/oven/pan and delicious. I think if I could be guaranteed faster service,...
Read moreVery comfortable atmosphere. The service was great. Ron was our server. There were three of us, and we all ordered something different. I had the coconut crusted chicken. It comes with a choice of garlic mashed or baked potato, but I switched out for angel hair pasta. That's how they should serve it. It was outstanding. There were many delicious sounding items on the menu, but I don't know if I'd order anything else. The other people I was with enjoyed their meals as well. Portions were large enough that we all had leftovers. Just left enough room to share some cinnamon ice cream. It was some of the best I ever had. The only negative was a "convenience" fee on the bill for paying by credit card. Although we later saw there was a notice on the bill, it would have been nice to have it mentioned before we paid. Even a sign or featured prominently on the menu. That won't stop me from going back, I'll...
