If I could give zero stars, I would. We had a $100 gift card for the Fairview and we called Disch's to see if they would honor it. For those who don't know, the owners of Disch's owned the Fairview in Marshfield. When we called Disch's, they said they would accept the Fairview gift card. After all, gift cards in the state of Massachusetts are valid for 7 years. When we dined at Disch's in May, we gave our server the gift card to apply to our bill. She returned and told us that there was a little more than $20 on the gift card so she applied it and there was a balance. The problem was, we never used the gift card. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager (Chris) said they would not honor the gift card at all. We explained that we called prior to dining at the restaurant and we were told the gift card would be honored. Nonetheless, she said the gift card was not valid and she had no way of looking up the amount (even though our server said there were funds on the card). It was shady. After chatting with some friends, we learned that there were numerous other instances of this, including gift cards purchased directly from Disch's. It is a family-owned establishment and one would think that they would provide honorable service. BUYER BEWARE - I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from this restaurant. It may or may not be honored. Needless to say, we would NOT return. There are many other restaurants who provide far superior customer service and honor...

Been there 3 times, 1st time was terrific, service and food were great. 2nd time went during a rain storm, one of the ceiling tiles fell and landed on our table getting my friend wet. Manager and staff apologized comped the meal and moved to a dry table. 3rd time just last Sunday night for my wife's birthday, older waitress (Mary). Started by taking my wife's drink order for house Pino then had to go retrieve the drink menu which she forgot. After she left with the drink order she returned because she forgot my wife's order. (knew then it was not going well). She returned with the drinks and took our meal order and started to leave before we were done but I stopped her for an appetizer order. While we were waiting for the meal, I had to stop her again and ask for some bread. When the orders came she apparently "forgot", (not got the order wrong), completely forgot my son's chicken parm order. She apologized said it will be right out since chicken parm doesn't take long, (apparently it's microwaved). Well 20mins later after we all finished eating the order came to the table. We wanted to get desert since my wife liked the desserts there but she just wanted to leave at that point. Our server did not offer to comp the late meal or anything else. I didn't want to complain to the manager and make a scene at wife's Birthday celebration. I still gave her a good tip because I felt bad, she really should not be serving a party of five again. Worst experience I have ever had going to a restaurant I usually go to on the regular. I went in at 430 after having a nice brunch with my friend. We were just trying to grab a quick salad and pizza and head home (in Pembroke). We both got our drinks and ordered food. The bartenders were amazing and made delicious drinks and were attentive. However, the OLDER HOSTESS WITH SHORT BRUNNETE HAIR, came up to myself and my friend, asked us “were you drinking before you came here” to which we we replied “um yes we went to brunch” she then decided to tell us we didn’t seem like we were “ok to be in the establishment.” We both were completely shocked by this, since we were capable of having a meal then going home. Meanwhile, I ran into friends there, said hello and they were concerned when I closed the tab so quickly, and left. I then told them “my friend and I were not welcome there apparently.” My friend was so upset she left and The bartender told me “hey I don’t know what happened but you guys are fine by me.” I asked for the food to go and left two full drinks there. This hostess needs to be accountable for what she is doing. My friend and I were just trying to order something to eat to go home. However for whatever, reason we were not allowed to be there on a Sunday at 430pm. We will not be back that...
