First time we stopped at this particular diner. Don't let the outside stop you from going in. We found the inside to be clean and everyone friendly. Specials daily. Breakfast served all day but after 11am...$1.00 more! We had breakfast..spinach and cheddar cheese omelet, full of cheese and plenty of spinach. and meat lovers omelet. The meat lovers omelet had plenty of ham, bacon, sausage and cheese. I especially liked their hash browns which were cooked perfect, slightly browned and not too crispy. Our server was friendly and very attentive. She even brewed me fresh decaf coffee. Prices comparable to other diner. Their menu had plenty of choices. Really a pleasant experience. One item to note: 2% charge for use of credit card. There was also a 10% Veterans discount. We certainly will stop here again when in the area.

Portion per Price 😕👎. Compared to other diners I have patroned, this diner's roast turkey meal lacked heartiness considering the cost of $12.95. The turkey was sliced thin and amounted to a couple slices comparable to lunch meat style rather than the thick carved turkey 🦃 style, the filling and side of mash potatoes I ordered were both ice cream scoop sized small, and the cranberry relish was about a teaspoon. My side of brussel sprouts is almost as big as my main turkey meal as you can see in the photo I posted. Overall, the food was good and our service was phenomenally wonderful, but the food portions could be bigger considering the prices.

My wife and I ate there today. Let's be clear, crystal clear. I am not a "Karen" just my 100% honest opinion. Now here we go. The place was not busy at all. Plenty of open seats, and no waiting to be seated. We ordered a simple meal, eggs potatoes pancakes etc. 28 minutes later we were served. My 2 over easy eggs were cold and under cooked. Pancakes were rubbery and hard to cut. The "sausage" was terrible. I mean gag in your mouth terrible . Not sure what happened today but definitely was not there best day.

Horrible, horrible experience this morning. My husband, son, and I stopped for breakfast before going to Roots Market. We were seated in a booth by the hostess. After watching our waitress wait on a table of 6 that were seated about 10 minutes after we got there, the hostess finally came to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes later, I had to call for our waitress to see about our drinks. In the meantime, two other booths had been filled with customers. The hostess finally brought our drinks, and the first thing she said was that she hoped our coffees were still hot. We told her right away we wanted hot coffees. Finally, after about 30 minutes, our waitress took our order. For another 30 minutes we watched that table of 6, and the 2 other booths that were seated after us start getting their food. At that point, after being there for an hour, and not getting any food, we told our waitress that we had enough, and we were leaving. We paid for our drinks, and left. The most disturbing part of the whole ordeal is that it seemed like no one cared. Not a place that we will ever visit again, nor will...

This was my first time visiting the diner with my friend 6/21/2025 around 5:30 in the afternoon. Although the food was great, and the older lady who served us our meals was amazing, we only had one issue upon arrival after a kind young gentleman greeted us and was about to seat us on the right side of the diner as soon as you walk in, there was a girl sitting at a table with 2 braids looks tells him “not over here, that side” all rude like she didn’t wanna do her job to wait on us, whether she assumed we were young girls (we’re 25&26) and thought she “wouldn’t get tipped well” or what her deal was, because the next people to walk through was a family and she had no problem with taking them on her side. I just think maybe she could have been less rude and just let the gentleman do his job as well and seat the customers where he sees fit. And because the older lady was such a seeetheart she definitely got a good tip like she deserved, definitely need to add more...

We were travelling on Fathers Day and pulled in bc it was along our route. We were not disappointed. The waitress was attentive and friendly and wished my father a happy fathers day several times which i thought was sweet. I wanted to try the City Star Diner but the waitress didnt know if the crab meat was real or imitation and never offered to ask the cook so i passed. Maybe one suggestion would be to know those answers. I had the ham and cheese omelette instead which was huge. Id say shareable size. The corned beef hash, which Im very picky about, was awesome! I wish I had ordered that for my main but got it as a side dish. My father ordered the scrapple and it had no flavor very bland would not recommend. The Belgian waffle was huge, fluffy and sweet. Overall large portions. Slightly pricey for breakfast but we all had food left so if your planning on going maybe do family style and share a few...
