Grandma's Country Oven Bake Shoppe — Restaurant in Penn Township

Pass a sign for this place frequently for work and finally stopped in. Anything cheesecake on a billboard gets my attention:) I was surprised they are open till 7. They have a good selection of baked goods. All their cheesecake is actually frozen so that was a bummer. I had to wait till later when I got home to try it. The plastic wrapped around it was stuck to it unfortunately. Besides that it was good cheesecake. Service was lacking as most of my questions weren’t answered but she was quite young, all good. In the pic I have an Apple dumpling which was decent and best warmed up. Buttercream wafers we’re good. Best two things were the cherry almond biscotti, wow, and the pecan tassies. I found it hard to choose what to buy because everything looked delicious. I ended up buying their strawberries and rhubarb tart, snickerdoodle scone, and some crescents (peach and nuts); everything was delicious, not overly sweet either. The tart was my favorite and I look forward to trying the other flavors. They also make bread and cakes (ready to buy or to order). The girl behind the counter was very nice and quick. The bakery is next to the Schramm's farm Marker and there is a large parking lot. It's a bit far from my house otherwise I'd be there weekly. I recommend you stop by and try some of their...

What a wonderful bakery. I ordered 4 dozen specially decorated cookies for my daughter's baby shower. I sent a picture and was contacted by phone to complete the order. When I picked up the cookies the morning of the shower and saw how beautiful they were, I was not disappointed. They looked just like the picture of the cookies she wanted and they tasted delicious.
