Hungry Hanks Pizzeria — Restaurant in Penn Township

I've gone to this place for years and have had mostly good service. The most recent time is why I'm here, after being told my food would take 25minutes I come 30minutes later. When I arrive, I wait at the front counter for a few minutes while the workers continued as if I wasn't there. When I was finally spoken, I paid and was told my food would be another 3-5 minutes without an explanation (obviously forgot to start it) the end result was a cinnamon struesel desert with extra icing. There was no extra icing, n the one given was still hard like it had just come from from fridge, and the desert was obviously rushed and poorly cooked, doughy almost soggy, the cinnamon was thrown over top. Idk what's going on with the place lately but I am super disappointed in the last 3 orders I've made. I hope they get it together and maybe hire some employees who take the company's name...

I never leave ratings but I feel obligated to share this. I drive past Hungry Hanks daily on my commute to work. There’s NEVER a car in the parking lot during their open hours so that should speak for itself. I finally decided to grab takeout on my way through for my son and I and I never should have. I got home with my Pepperoni pizza and upon opening it, my son Marques found a hair right in the middle of the pizza. I worked food industry for a few years out of high school so I get it. things happen. But the shocking part is when I took it off… I’m 31 but I’ve been around a time or two to know the difference.. It was a PUBIC HAIR. Right on the center plastic pizza saver. How does that happen? Absolutely disgusting. Needless to say, the pizza went straight to the garbage. It was way over priced anyhow for how thin it was. Doubt I missed anything. Come on...

Review edit at bottom: Gonna be nice here. The pizza is always good. Not quite my favorite in the area but at least 2nd favorite; loaded on toppings, good crust, great sauce. I've only lived in Jeannette 4 years but every time we do the pizza it's a good experience. 3 stars because, man, twice I've got the subs and there is this overbearing garlic taste that gives me a headache afterwards. Last week it made me fairly sick, and it smelled almost rancid. They also ditched us on a delivery once which I why I haven't ordered in a year. They're nice on the phone though and I do want to give both props and hesitant good review. Get the pizza, it rocks but watch the subs!
