Start with the good or the bad. The good- Food and scenery are great. Had Cajun Chicken, Chicken Marsala, and a kid’s Spaghetti and meatball. We were the first table inside so we had a great view. Most of the patrons were on the deck. The bad, Service. I am taking into consideration that our waitress was new. However, no one else was really helping her out, I would expect a senior waitress to help guide her but there wasn’t. I saw multiple waitresses address the second table of 2 that was seated next to us, then the 3rd table of 4 was seated next to them and there may have been one other table near the bar area. Think they had 3-4 waitresses and at about 20-30% capacity. Food and 1st round of drinks arrived within a reasonable timeframe. However, downhill after that. Around 6pm I requested a refill for my daughter and myself; nothing. 6:15 we reminded her again and this time requested a To Go Box. 6:30 requested dessert, refill, and check and we were made aware that there was a kitchen mishap? (maybe orders got messed up). 6:40pm as I remember why we don’t visit often then the dessert arrived and unfortunately one of the two had a hair in it which they took back and removed from the bill. 6:50 I had to get up go to front desk for a to go box we asked for 35 minutes ago and the check, to which she yelled to our waitress to check us out. 7:00pm After our request for refills never happened, we packed up my daughters food and left for our final time. I would have hated to see that place actually busy inside. Now, I’m someone who will tip big for great service. I’ve tipped people who are busting their butt keeping drinks full, checking in at least every 10 minutes while running around before between $20-$50 dollars. Believe me I notice those things and always watch my waiter/waitress. I’ve tipped a Waffle House worker $50 cause he was entertainingly funny, kept my coffee full and checked up regularly. This was not the case, and ended up ruining the experience for us probably for good and called for the lowest tip I ever left someone $2 on a $77 dollar bill (I know I felt bad for her too). For as expensive as the food is and the bad service, I will leave that justified which sucks but I do have some standards to earn a good tip and if you can’t get past #1=refills, then you won’t reach my normal minimum tip amount. Had we gotten at least one refill in an hour of requesting and two reminders probably would have been more forgiving. I would recommend management help those struggling and coach them how to do rounds at ALL tables “How is everything” is all it takes. Also, other waitresses, help out those struggling cause y’all on the same team. Teach them how to constantly move and survey the tables. If you teach them and coach them, then they don’t have to preface their customers with “Sorry, I’m new”. If there is a next time I don’t want to have to preface the waitress with “Sorry, last time I didn’t get a refill”? 🤷♂️
Unfortunate, cause the food was really good, minus the hair in the...
Read moreEdit: I had a slight change of heart, and returned for a dear friends birthday party. HUGE mistake!!! Here's my updated post: 5/19/2024 Would NOT recommend!!! The service is friendly but once they leave our table, things are incredibly slow!
The manager/co-owner is incredibly rude and didn't bother telling us PRIOR to the meal that all 11 of our dinners were on ONE bill, and he said the best we can do is divide the bill evenly between all of us.
The food was cold for the most part, and it took so long to come to the table, once it did arrive it really was not impressive.
We've taken care of our server, but not a single one of us will return.
Joe, I hope you have the day you deserve.
First and last time here. There are many factors that contributed to the one star rating. Serventis is listed as a ristorante and that's what I expected. When we walked in, the TV's were so loud I thought we were in a sports bar instead of a ristorante. We ordered our drinks, and the server was a little off that we didnt order a drink from the bar. We just wanted water! We ordered our foods and got our salads. After I had nearly finished my salad, (10 minutes at least) the server came out to inform us that they're out of lasagna. It's 6 pm on a Sunday evening. I find this unacceptable. The server didn't suggest another dinner, but sent the owner/chef over. He is an arrogant older man who found it ridiculous that I was upset that they were out of lasagna. It is the first item listed on the menu, and probably the most commonly ordered item. He was rude and he didn't suggest another entree either. I told him to charge us for our salads (he declined) as I ate part of mine, my husband didn't even have a bite of his because there were no salt or pepper shakers on the tables - they were being cleaned...and he wanted salt and pepper in his salad. We left the server a tip for her inconveniences, but I can honestly say we won't go back. We eat out several times a week and we know this type of thing happens, but typically the owner or manager apologizes, offers a suggestion for another meal and all is well. I do not expect anything for free, but apologies go a long way in restitution. This guy is a poor excuse for a chef, and an even more unprofessional manager. I'm hoping I don't see another "chef" in shorts coming out of another kitchen... This guy needs to go back to a basic Customer...
Read moreI wish there was an option to leave more stars, because Serventi’s On The Runway is a first class establishment with the most phenomenal food, service, and overall venue/atmosphere. My wife and I first went to Serventi’s in winter of 2023 when trying to research venues to have a wedding dinner. Our very first trip there was so amazing that we decided that day to have our wedding dinner there. This was the first place we went to during our research, and afterward, we did not want to look anywhere else, we already knew this was the place, that’s how excellent it was. My wife and I have been there several times after our initial visit and have never had a bad meal or bad service. It is without a doubt our favorite restaurant, hands down. We sincerely look forward to returning to Serventi’s in the future for many more times to come.
We just had our wedding dinner there a couple days ago. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to have what we wanted. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how excellent the food and service was, and how it was so remarkable to see the planes fly by on the runway. The manager, Joe, was an absolute pleasure to work with during the entire planning process. He always treated us with the utmost respect, was incredibly honest and transparent, and would go out of his way to make sure that we were happy. We can’t thank the entire management and team of Serventi’s enough for their time, effort, and hard work they put in to make our wedding dinner beyond a special experience that we will remember for the rest...
