This was my first visit to this hidden gem of a restaurant, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm welcome from the new owner Jeff immediately made me feel at home. I've dined at several soul food establishments, but the service here was truly top-tier.

My meal arrived piping hot within just 10-15 minutes, and I was delighted to find that everything was seasoned to perfection. The entire staff radiated warmth and friendliness, creating an inviting atmosphere that elevated my visit to something truly memorable.

I can wholeheartedly say that the 45-minute drive was absolutely worth it, and I look forward to making the journey again. The prices are remarkably low considering the generous portions and exceptional quality of the food. I can't recommend this...

Racist place-- they discriminate if you order by phone-- your order gets messed up if you talk in an African American English language variety (I witnessed a femme African American woman's complaint), but if your voice is White American English language variety then you get treated better.

I am a White Latinx person and I am a Professor of Linguistics at a University and I left halfway through my meal because of what I witnessed. I left without paying, and after explaining why it was discrimination. In solidarity.

Food like someone's favorite family member made it like... good good😍🤤😏🍽☕🫖. Had the skillet with cheese. The onions🧅 potatoes🥔 and green pepper🫑 were well seasoned and the cheese🧀 was American melted 🤤😍 side of a short stack🥞. My manfriend had a bacon 🥓and cheese🧀 omelet. He loved the bacon🥓 was whole folded with the cheese🧀 into the omelet, crispy enough to easily cut into but not too dry. Hot sauce🌶 on the eggs🍳 and a half order of biscuits and gravy, which was better than I make.
