I am very upset to be writing this review.Ā I've usedĀ iMobile Medics multiple times over the last several years, and until a few days ago, I thought highly of this company and recommended them to others.Ā But now, I no longer believeĀ iMobile Medics to be a reputable company, as the technicianĀ violated my privacy after fixing my phone.
A few days ago, I had my phone screen repaired by iMobile Medics.Ā The phone was still functioning properly, but the screen was black, and since I couldn't use theĀ phone screen, I was unable to log myself out of all of my accounts,Ā though I did change passwords for important things (like email and Amazon) before taking in my phone.Ā I neglected to change my Facebook password, and unfortunately, after fixing my phone, the technician helped himselfĀ to my Facebook account and spammed all 530 of my FB friends to "like" the iMobile Medics Facebook page.
I can see in my phone's browser history that the technician went to multiple websites, including a different site that I was logged in to as well; he went to a total of 10 websites, per the browser history, 6 of which were on my Facebook account (one of the 6 was when he sent the message to my friends list, the other 5 pages were different things on my FB account that he accessed).
One of my FB friends whoĀ received the invitation to "like" iMobile Medics wrote a negative review, complaining about being spammed from my account, to which iMobile Medics responded with the following: "We donāt go to people phones unless they provide us a passcode to check their phone and test it if it working ( speaker/camera /internet/etc..), and the technician press the button by a mistake and invitation was sent to all."
So, they are saying it was a mistake to spam my friends list, but the technician should not have been on my Facebook account in the first place.
I did not provide a pass code or any kind of permission to go onto my Facebook account.Ā I can see from my browser history that the first page the tech went to after my phone was fixed was the iMobile Medics website (not their Facebook page).Ā If he was truly trying to make sure the phone worked (which wasn't even necessary since it was just a screen problem), why didn't he stop after that one website?
My browser history shows that after going to the iMobile Medics website, he then went to a few other websites, and the iMobileĀ Medics Facebook page was the last place he went.Ā It's possible that instead of intentional self promotion, he accidentally sent the request to my entire friends list, but he shouldn't have been on my Facebook page to begin with, so it doesn't matter if the spamming portion was an accident or not.
This was a major violation of my privacy and unfortunately, I won't be a customer of iMobile...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked around with a cracked cell phone for a year because the prices for repairs were just ridiculous. One day, I was walking past the store and decided to give it a try . . . and what an amazing experience! Professional, friendly, and truly concerned that my needs were met, Younes did not have what I needed but contacted other distributors to get the parts so that he could complete the repair next next day. He followed through on his promise, and went way above and beyond to make sure that my phone had better protection for the future. You just donāt find people with that type of work ethic or pride in what they do very often anymore (AND his prices were very reasonable). I would return in a minute with any other technology issues I might face, and I cannot recommend this business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wasn't very satisfied with their service due to lack of transparency and professionalism, but after having a conversation and coming to an agreement, I change my 1 star to 3. Do your research before picking a place to trust to fix your phone, something I wish I had done beforehand. I wish the owner the best.
Update: The owner responded to my review by saying that I rushed him, this is not true by any means. I asked beforehand when the piece would arrive and was told "3-4 business days" on numerous occasions, NOT 7 days. Damage was inflicted on the phone even after plenty of time was given. This continues to show that he is trying to find a way to put the blame on the customer when the problem lies in the business. Truly...
