We were excited to finally get here to try Tasty Pizza North. We walked in and the smells are the first to hit you, smells great! We thought it was going to be just like the Tasty Pizza in Columbia Heights. The entry is a bit small, my husband walked in and held the door for me but a delivery guy squeezed in between us and let the door shut instead of holding it open for me like my husband did for him. Hmmppfff! We ordered a small sausage(free coupon for it with a purchase) and a large 3 topping to go and each had a glass of beer while they cooked. Sat in the dining room which is quite large, cabin-like decor I'll call it. Wooded pine paneling and that type of decor. They have a party room which looked large enough for 75 from where I sat. They sell honey, maple syrup and jelly from local people on a shelf on route to the bathrooms. Women's bathroom was fine, hubby didn't complain about the men's either. There is a window where you can see the pizzas being made. The staff we interacted with to take our order was fine. My husband asked about their affiliation with the one in Columbia Heights and they said no affiliation at all. Hate to say, but when we got home and started eating the pizza, neither of us was impressed. No where near as good as the Tasty Pizza in Columbia Heights. They cut it in square pieces, but that's it. If we go all that way again we would try something else but the pizza was a disappointment for us. Basically, it was $33 for one 3 topping pizza and 2 small beers. Sausage, onion and green pepper. $2.50 a topping. If we want a pizza out, we'll go back to our little local joint, cheaper, closer, nice people...
Read moreThe service is really fast. However, I ordered online through Slice. I ordered chicken wings with hot sauce and blue cheese, cheesy bread and a pizza. I got PLAIN chicken wings and NO blue cheese. (They were crispy though). I also ordered a pizza with green olives and they put green peppers on it. I DESPISE green peppers. 🤮🤢 I would suggest that you review your online orders a little more carefully as only 1/3 of the order was correct and it’s kinda hard to mess up cheese bread! The pizza crust always seems to be really undercooked and soggy anymore……the crust is NEVER crispy. Side note - the delivery kid was...
Read moreI am a long-time fan of Tasty Pizza in the Cities. Unfortunately, this location did not live up to what I am used to in the Cities. The pizza is comparable and they even offer some selections that are unique to this location. However, there are some offerings you can find in the Cities (such as shrimp pizza, Maid Rite Sandwiches) which are not available here. Our biggest disappointment was that one of our party order nachos and only received a plate of chips and cheese. This particular menu listing is quite misleading and not worth the...
