Huddle House — Restaurant in Perry Township

Horrible service, I chose this place to try specifically because it had good reviews raving about the food and service but either those are all lies or every single waitress today must've been having a tough day because that was a complete waste of time. First off there is no sign saying to seat yourself so we waited 10 mins with all the waitresses consistently looking straight at us before one finally said to seat ourselves and "wait a few minutes" after sitting for at least another 5 we finally got menus and the waitress immediately asked if we knew what we wanted and I asked for another minute to look over the menu. It literally took another 15 minutes before she came back to take our order while in the meantime another came to put silverware on our table and I watched our waitress walk around and look at receipts/mess with foam cups.staff completely ignored our existence as soon as we entered and that continued through until we decided to just leave because there's no reason they should even completely ignore us when we thank them for bringing our menus and drinks and sit quietly patiently waiting. I've seen far busier places with far less staff do 100 times better than the staff here, at the very least a smile and actual acknowledgement of the customer could make up for wait times but a bitter attitude and rude staff will just make you...

This was our first time in Mt. Morris and at a Huddle House. We were told to sit wherever we’d like and so we did. The waitress came and took our drink order pretty quickly and handed us our menus. Everything was great… until, she came back two minutes later asking what we’d like to order. We told her we needed a couple more minutes and she went back to the counter. Not even a minute later, she was back asking what we’d wanted. We told her once again we needed just another minute or so to decide. Literally, a minute later she was back. So, feeling rushed, we just ordered whatever. My burger was pretty good, and the fries were crispy, thankfully because I cannot stand a soggy fry. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and he said it was overly salty. His mashed potatoes were thick thick. Like, instant potatoes with not an adequate amount of liquid in them and then topped with a thick brown gravy. They were hard to mix to say the least. Lol The side salad was good though. We ordered the sampler as an appetizer- wings (bone-in), jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, and fries. The portion size was pretty small considering it was a sampler and for the price of it. This place is and was a great place to eat at one time then things started to change as they took things off the menu and raised the prices as I was sitting their waiting on My food I was chatting to the guy next to me as the manager walks by and takes money from the safe not only has she done this but this has happened multiple times as she takes that money and plays the gambling machine's next door at the bfs not only that but she is also very slopy and can't cook a burger to save her life mean while she's high on pills so my point is I'm really disappointed in the atmosphere that the huddle house has gathered over the last year going through manager after manager and not making a difference all they do is hire the next person who walks in the door I think they alt to get a deeper understanding about the problem people that they keep allowing to work their I was hoping it would get better but sadly it hasn't come on huddle house owners wake up and smell the coffee I have so much on that restaurant I could have it shut down faster then a person could blink and eye but I love eating their just wish yall could get yalls stuff together so us local people can come to a nice place as it once was it has really poor management and that includes charity as well have a nice day and maybe just maybe yall can...
