Sweet Baby's is a nice place located about five minutes off of I-79 and well worth the detour. Fresh baked pastries, a variety of breakfast items and small hand-helds for lunch will satisfy from a want of a small snack to the need for a meal. In addition to food, they have a wide array of coffee drinks and teas. The staff here were extremely nice even though we rolled up about five minutes before they actually opened. We waited patiently in the parking lot until they opened. The outside is wonderful with a small firepit, flower and green covered pergola, two outside decks, and a lower area down by the river with picnic tables and few more chairs. There may even be a small walking path, but we did not go all the way down. Inside, there is less seating (five small tables), but well decorated with a clear menu, a case of baked delights, and a small merch area to one side. My wife' s cappuccino was expertly made and my espresso was very good. Both were a perfect complement to the giant blackberry scone that we had to go with it. All of it was delicious and it was great to be able to sit in a very quiet natural setting while enjoying the coffee and pastry.

A rainy day in the region, and I wanted to try someplace new for breakfast. I drove to Mount Morris, PA to a place called Rising Creek Bakery (aptly named, as the creek was rising behind the restaurant). I loved the atmosphere of the place, from the geese outside to the welcoming dining area, the building was beyond my wildest imagination. I ordered the Omelet and an order of French Toast with bacon. I need to mention that the toast and French Toast were made from salt rising bread that is baked onsite. The omelet was stuffed full of onions, green peppers, white cheddar cheese and ham. To put it in simple terms, it was amazing! Great taste and value! The French toast was made to perfection, and the homemade bread was a real treat! I actually purchased a loaf of the salt rising bread to have at home. I will return here many times in the future to enjoy the good food, and as spring and summer arrive, the outdoor seating! A great place to have good food and enjoy some coffee!

Looking for a family friendly place and a place where the pepperoni rolls are always fresh and hot; then you have found it here at Sweet Baby’s. Not to mention my toddler went for the fully stuffed oatmeal cream pie and took every bite with a smile and ravenous growl because it was that delicious to her haha I recommend it, the owner is very sweet and creates a warm environment for all- I totally recommend adding this as a stop on your itinerary.

I have liked and recommend this place for the beautiful location and good food & coffee for a long time, but recently I had a very poor experience with the owner.

2 weeks ago, I asked Rising Creek if they would be able to donate bread for a local fundraising event I am facilitating. I talked with the women on the register and she directed me to another women who approved my request and agreed to donate 6 loaves of bread to our event. I left a flyer with my phone number with this woman and was asked to call a few days before the event, which is this Sunday, October 25th, the confirm a pick up time. I thanked them for their generosity, purchased a coffee, did some work in their establishment and left thanking them again.

This morning at 7:30am, on the Friday before the event, I called to confirm. The man that answered referred to the flyer, took down my number again and said he would have the owner call me when she came in around 8:30am. I did not get a return call, so I called again at 10am. The owner answered the phone and I re-explained the event and asked when I could pick up the bread. To which, she told me she will not be donating the bread to our event. I told her of the prior conversation and approval and she referred to the flyer I had left there, reading back to me the event details over the phone. I have been coordinating donations for this event for the past 2 weeks, and specifically have not requested bread from other individuals because I was under the impression that the amount needed was fulfilled by Rising Creek and one additional establishment. I explained the bind I was in, but she was not very apologetic or willing to do anything to clear up the mistake on their end. She told me they are a small bakery and they just gave away 10 loaves yesterday, so they cannot give more away. I understand they are a small bakery and I would have not been upset if I was told the day that I requested bread that they were not able to. But I think it is very unprofessional that Rising Creek told me they could donate then changed their mind and donated the bread that was promised to us to another person. Their was no communication of this decision and no willingness on their end to fix it. For this reason, as much as I have enjoyed this bakery in the past, I will not be returning as a personal customer unless there is a move on their end to...

Drove 30 minutes to this cafe with friend to have breakfast and shop for some goods while i was there B/C i was told about how amazing it was in addition to the positive online reviews. However i was extremely disappointed when i arrived. Upon arriving i wasn't greeted and the cook/cashier was extremely rude. Had she said at the very least said "welcome" she would have known we were new to the establishment and excited to shop and be there. Her entire attitude turned me off so much that i didn't even want to eat there. But after the long trip i suggested to my friend we get a light breakfast. Even then she took our order didn't instruct us on where to sit and dine or where any condiments or napkins were and she even rolled her eyes when we asked for water. Then she brought out our food we thanked her once again (after thanking her multiple times with no response) and when she did acknowledge us as dining patrons all she was "mmm hmm".

There was a second lady at the store who seemed super nice like a manager or something. She was super kind and friendly. But that cashier lady was a horror. I'm sad to say but i definitely won't be dinning there ever again. Despite the view and the flowers my food wasn't what i ordered and the service...

When we first discovered Rising Creek some years ago, it was a revelation. I would put that Rising Creek up against any bakery that I have been to anywhere in the world. Every dish was amazing, every baked good second to none; I would have been hard pressed to find fault anywhere. Visiting Rising Creek became a weekly occurrence. If we had visitors from out of town, you better believe they were making a trip to Mt. Morris with us. In fact, we loved Rising Creek so much that we had our wedding there.

Today's Rising Creek is not that Rising Creek. With the recent change in ownership, prices are up, selection, quality, and quantity are down. It has become, unfortunately, a pale reflection of what it once was. A recent "special" that we ordered was shockingly bad, to the point I would be embarrassed to serve it to myself in my own kitchen, let alone charge someone for it. We still visit, albeit rarely, to see if things have improved, but, currently, Rising Creek is Rising Creek in name only. I do hope that things turn around and that the current owners are able to recapture some of what made Rising Creek so very special to us. As it stands, I can no longer...
