The restaurant had a crowd of about 10 people in line when we came in. Once we got in the line, there were easily 20 people in line. We waited to order about 15 minutes. We saw at least 6 people on staff - two of them in the kitchen. It was frustrating to only see one register open with so many orders to take. The women that were behind us in line actually left the store we waited so long. We watched one girl work on shift change duties (change trashes), another make ice cream (she messed up 3 ice cream orders while we were there), the shift leader try to help make ice cream then eventually come back to take orders, and another girl pop out from the back and stand and talk to the workers (distracting them rather than serving customers.) IN ANY JOB ASPECT, CUSTOMER NEED AND SATISFACTION SHOULD BE YOUR #1 PRIORITY. As a person who has been employed at a Kansas DQ for 3 years, I am very disappointed to wait for 15 minutes to order and watch such a mass chaos shift. Instead of one taking orders, one completing icecream orders, and one on drive. Also, the kitchen workers can just freely walk out of the kitchen, call orders -which is fine- but wear gloves they are preparing food with and wipe them all over the surface on the to-go counter without changing gloves before preparing more food. DISGUSTING! We also got charged 30 cents for a buffalo packet, which was OPEN when we got it - we received a new one once we informed the shift leader. We also were not impressed with the blizzard prices. In KS, a mini blizzard is $2.81 - at this store $3.99 and all of the rest of the following sizes just get more expensive. Overall not impressed with expensive prices and long wait time to even order. Displeased with this store and will not be...
Read moreI am only giving this Dairy Queen three stars due to the fact the staff was truly struggling today. When we arrived there was very few people in line, we placed an order for five ice creams. And we waited, and we waited, at this point several families/parties came in so now there was a line. finally we still did not hear our number however one of the staff members held up several blizzards shook them at us and we went to pick up our ice cream. Come to find out I guess the three ice creams we picked up were not ours but rather a different customers. and when we asked where our items were since we had been waiting so long, and others that came in after us were getting their items we were told we were called but they couldn't find us 🤷♀️. The dining room itself probably only has at most 10 tables so I'm not sure how they couldn't find us. however while we were standing there waiting on our ice cream there was a team member named Diamond, complaining to a team member named Vanessa and we stood there and listened to her complaints for quite a while while our ice creams were being made. This just hit me as odd as this was not professional behavior. Entrance in and out of this Loves is easy. There is a dog park in the front which...
Read moreThis restaurant has indoor seating with every other booth closed for safety concerns. There is plenty of seating available. Dairy Queen staff all wore masks and were behind protective screens at the order placement area. Facility is large. Very clean with pleasant and efficient staff. This facility has a drive through. This Dairy Queen is part part of a convenience store gas station complex, but also is very separate with its own entrance. Very very large parking lot for entire complex. Travel trailer, large Rv's and car parking is abundant. It also has a huge dog complex on the edge of one of the parking lots. Let Fido exercise all he wants. There is also a complete separate area for Semi trucks. Entire complex well maintained. This is the kind of place road weary traveller's dream of, easy off and easy on with all the necessities for a quick stop. There is no town or hotels at this exit. 20 miles south has several new hotels. I originally gave it 4 stars but after writing this review I couldn't find anything to keep it from being a 5 star...
