Hidalgo’s Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Perryville

I believe they tried to poison my husband. This was our second time visiting the restaurant. The first time was disappointing but they are the only Mexican food in town and so we decided to give them another chance for a quick dinner. This proved to be a huge mistake. They brought my husband's plate before they brought mine out and the portion size was so puny that he said something to the waitress and she took the plate back. Several minutes later another waitress returned with both of our meals, and WINKED AT MY HUSBAND which was very odd. The meat was dry and unchewable. But the really horrible thing is that as soon as my husband finished eating, before we even left the restaurant, he started vomiting. He spent the rest of the night violently sick. He was 100% fine and healthy until he sent his food back to the kitchen. We believe that they did something to his food whenever we complained and sent his plate back. They did not offer to discount the meal or anything either. This place should be shut down. If you're looking for good Mexican food, drive the extra 15 minutes to Elia's in...

Service was polite and quick but got confused about asking to remove something and it came with it on the order anyway. Salsa and guacamole were decent. That's the positives. I ordered fajitas and to be polite, they were pretty bad. I think they forgot seasoning. On everything. Beans, rice, and all the fajitas were as bland as a plain box of grits. The only seasoning was a 1/2 a cup of oil it was drowning in. Yes fajitas have oil, but not like this. The meat was burnt, dry and tough. Like not just leftovers from yesterday, I'm talking been cooking since yesterday then charred over a fire. For an hour. I guess at least the burnt taste did add flavor since the tje seasoning didn't. I've never had anything so greasy, dry and tasteless at the same time. I'm not from here, but next time I come through I'll be sure to stop by Sonic for something with more flavor and...

Service was horrible, never once were they kind and took 15 mins to get drinks mind you there was one other table with people there. Once our food arrived I did not get the black beans requested on my plate and she said “oh we out, haha” and than we were given the wrong order for another person at the table so we informed them they never apologized or offered to fix it or remove it from the table they just brought a plate of 4 shrimp to “make it right”. Not only that but they refused to take the item we didn’t order off of our ticket even though it was not eaten. This is our second time trying to give them a chance and we’ve been let down.
