BEST Mediterranean Cuisine available in Central Arkansas. You can NOT beat this place! The drive for me is around 30 minutes, and 100000% worth it. This place opened up where Mustang Sally’s used to be, and my heart broke when the owner Passed and they closed down. I was in town visiting the Library with my Son and my Mother, when we spontaneously decided to check this new place out & order some meals for the family to go. We received a warm welcome and got seated right away. Blown away by the options! (HUGE LOVER OF GREEK FLAVOR AND CUISINE) We ordered a total of 5 meals, one including a Kids meal.
For the kid, Spaghetti and Meatballs! 10/10 !! It’s not your regular American/ Italian spaghetti, it’s GREEK INFUSED!! Flavors are SO amazing and absolutely love the chefs choice in Garlic use, we LOVE garlic. We ordered the Cordon Blue, Spicy Tilapia Fish, Meatball Sub & the Hummus Dip Appetizer while we waited for the to go orders.
My mother and I RAVE about the Hummus, I honestly wanted to order another to go, and I regret not doing so. BUT, that’s a good excuse for my to return SOON and bring my other family with!
Another compliment, the Waiter, I didn’t catch her name, but ABSOLUTELY welcoming and friendly, we have some questions about the menu and she delivered without complications! The chef herself, amazing! Please don’t change anything about your flavors & food!! ❤️ We LOVE it! We might become regulars lol.
Last but not least, I must make a notable mention to the little boy “Tony” and his little Sister, who welcomed my little boy to join them for a play and conversation! They also gave him a free Popsicle which really made an impact on my VERY shy 5 year old. The environment is 10/10, the staff 10/10, the food? 100/10. More than I would ever have expected to find in...
Read moreI have been hesitant to leave a review until now because the first time we ordered from there we did take out and although I remember liking what I ordered I don’t really remember what I ordered, so not really memorable. I do remember that my husband ordered the spaghetti and didn’t really care for the Mediterranean flavors in it. No offense to the food, just not his taste. The next time we ate in and my Mediterranean chicken was pretty good, just not my favorite. Again, no offense to them just not my taste. My husband loved the fish, except again, he didn’t care for the Mediterranean style. He scraped off the sauce on top and enjoyed the fish. He said the tea was the best he’d ever had in a restaurant. But then we tried delivery…I called and ordered two cheese burgers, one with fries and one with onion rings. When they delivered it I was shocked by the price until I saw what they brought. Holy Cow!! Two of the biggest, most delicious burgers I’ve ever seen in my life! We shared one and put the other one away for the next day. It was WAY too much food!!! We could have easily fed a hungry family of four to six. Apparently…the burger automatically come with fries?!?! So there was those AND an addition full take out box full of fries PLUS a full take out box full of the BEST onion rings I’ve ever had. I guess we’re just not Authentic Mediterranean people. Not their fault. They’re the nicest people you’ll ever meet and the restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. We will be making this a regular for our burger and onion rings cravings, but definitely only ordering one burger and some onion rings unless we have a few...
Read moreMy husband and I took a beautiful sunny Sunday ride up to Perryville to try out this new-to-us restaurant, as we got off our bikes we were warmly greeted by our server at the door, which was nice. We chose a warm cozy booth near the bar, and took our time looking over the eclectic menu, which had something for everyone, but we already had one thing on our collective minds and that was LAMB! It’s rare to see lamb on the menu in rural Arkansas for some reason, but the Veranda has quite a few dishes with it. My husband had the lamb burger and fries, the burger was huge and juicy, and the fries were crispy, delicious and very plentiful. I had the lamb gyro plate, served with rice, tzatziki and sesame sauces, and more fries, all of which was yummy. We took a to-go box full of fries to have for dinner on Monday. Whilst we were waiting for our food to come out our server brought us some wonderful homemade herby bread rolls and olive oil for dipping, they almost like big fluffy biscuits but yeasty and flavored with Mediterranean herbs, so good we asked for some to take home too! My hubby had Baclava for dessert which he enjoyed, not so much my cuppa tea though, as I don’t have a sweet tooth. We can’t wait to go back to try more things on the menu next time we are in the area. Highly recommend……go give them your business, they are very nice people, good food and in a nice building located right on the pretty town square. Let’s help make them a...
