Los Hermanos Dos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Peru

My fiance and I order from them all the time. Never had a bad experience there food is always great. I called to place a carry out order today around 1:20pm to pick it up around 5pm. I asked a question about the rice because last time I was able to order a huge catering size of the rice and I wanted to see if I could do it again. The gentleman I spoke with told me to hold on. I understand that this is probably during there lunch time. Maybe after waiting a few minutes he comes on the phone again and tells me it’ll be just another few minutes. That’s fine I am patient and I understand they might be busy. After waiting another 5 minutes (mind you this whole phone call I was on the line for 7 minutes) he hung up on me. Didn’t say anything to me. Whomever it was on the phone probably should have came over the line and told me the person was busy. I would have understood and I would have proceeded with placing my order. But instead I just get hung up on for waiting patiently. I’ve never had issues like this before and usually they are very communicative. He wasn’t rude and seemed extremely polite on the phone.

Besides all of that and disappointingly not ordering their food is fantastic. There Tamales are my favorite. The rice has very good flavor. My fiance will order the bean dip and cheese with chips and always raves about it. When we were there last the establishment was very clean and we got greeted promptly and with a smile. I'm giving 2 stars because the service was good but the food itself is probably the most mediocre Mexican food I have ever eaten. I travel all over the country and have eaten Mexican in just about every state and I have an amazing experience at basically every single one of them. It's something I typically stand by is the fact you can find a good Mexican restaurant in just about every city throughout the US. Have eaten here a couple of times since they opened and have received excellent service from the staff there every time. They're warm, friendly and welcoming. Now the food can be hit or miss. I have tried several of their burritos and chimichangas and what I have noticed is that the steak and chicken is excellently flavored and seasoned the seafood in particular the shrimp can have kind of an off flavor to it, not bad but just really...
