Chunky's Taqueria & Grill — Restaurant in Petaluma

We just moved to this neighborhood and were sorry to be farther from our favorite taqueria. Tried this one on a whim. It's fantastic. I always try the enchiladas first, because you can't fake good sauce. It was very tasty. The carnitas were also very good. Rice and beans were on point. And the prices were fair. The salsas we're good, except the habañero, which was delicious. Worth the trip for that salsa alone. Thank God it's within walking distance of our house because I'm going to need to burn some calories next...

They make a good 1/4 burger here believe it or not. The crinkle cut fries are fantastic too, as are a lot of things on this menu. My friend always orders the taco salads here as well as the quesadillas.

If this is your first time here, try anything with Carnitas. The pork here is seasoned very well and is very tender with a good crisp along the edges. Carne Asada is very good too and the portions here are very generous.

I chose the steak tacos today. Tacos were perfect. Great job guys, keep up...

i truly believe that if you dislike chunky’s you either do not value money or do not enjoy good food

the existence of this place invalidates chipotle, it’s affordable, it’s delicious, and it’s consistent

every local in the area knows this is the spot if you want good eats at a price that doesn’t have you despairing about the state of the modern economy

highly recommend the fish and chile relleno, extremely and unusually good at the same price as any other meats/substitutes
