Don Quixote Mexican Grill - A Hidden Gem in the Tri-Cities Area

As a seasoned food enthusiast with a penchant for exploring Mexican cuisine, I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in the Tri-Cities area that has taken me by surprise and delight. Don Quixote Mexican Grill is a true culinary treasure that has exceeded all my expectations in terms of taste, portion size, ambiance, and overall experience.

First and foremost, let's talk about the food - it is simply outstanding! From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I had found something special. Don Quixote serves up an array of mouthwatering Mexican dishes, bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The chef's expertise shines through in every dish, and each bite is a delightful journey through traditional Mexican tastes.

What sets this Mexican grill apart from others is the generous portion sizes. If you're someone who loves getting more bang for your buck, Don Quixote will not disappoint. Their servings are substantial, ensuring that you leave the restaurant fully satisfied and possibly with leftovers to enjoy later.

One of the reasons I was initially hesitant to try Don Quixote Mexican Grill was because it wasn't located in the usual Mexican dining hotspots like Olde Town, Chesterfield, or Richmond. However, I am thrilled that I decided to give it a chance. The restaurant has its unique charm and warm ambiance that immediately welcomes you upon entering. The highlight for me was the meticulously carved horse designs on the booths, which added a touch of whimsy and transported diners to the world of Don Quixote himself.

Cleanliness is always a crucial factor when dining out, and Don Quixote Mexican Grill excels in this aspect as well. The restaurant is well-maintained and spotlessly clean, providing diners with a comfortable and hygienic dining environment.

Overall, my experience at Don Quixote Mexican Grill was nothing short of fantastic. The food's exceptional quality, generous portions, and the captivating atmosphere create a dining experience that lingers in your memory. This hidden gem is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors without having to venture too far from the Tri-Cities area.

If you're looking for a Mexican grill that offers top-notch cuisine, friendly service, and a charming ambiance, look no further than Don Quixote Mexican Grill. It's a culinary journey that you'll be glad you embarked upon, and I can confidently say that this restaurant has secured a permanent spot on my list of...

Wasted my time and gas taking a Burrito Texano back because it was not made correctly. I purchased it the night before, going to work and tried to return it the next day after calling ahead of time and they said that they would do it. I made it all the way up there and the manager wanted to argue with me. He then finally opened up the burrito to see that there was shrimp inside, which was my issue. He asked me why I did not do that myself and I knew that I was planning to take it back. Then they would complain that I ate it. It was no need to open it ; after explaining the entire thing to the manager he wanted to continue to argue back-and-forth. Even after he had already offered to remake the dish. I agreed to having it remade until I realize I can’t even trust to eat that food after he was doing all that bickering back-and-forth. I will not be returning.

Absolutely not! Your customer service is trash, I assume you wanted me in there cussing you out causing a scene. However, I did not allow you to get the best of me. If you truly want a customer to return, you do what you say your going to the FIRST TIME not try to argue with them to the point where I had to walk away from you to get you to shut up. Work on...

My boyfriend said we were eating Mexican but not where I normally drag him. And we end up here. I'm skeptical but when we walked in, I was surprised. I was expecting same old boring Mexican restaurant decor. The bar was nice, the bar stools looked handmade (I could be wrong). Anyhow, as usual prompt chips and salsa. We ordered our drinks, they came quickly. The margarita Quixote seems a little strong (yes!!) Anyhow, it took a little longer to decide because this menu is not filled with an excessive amount of options. It has just the right amount of options to not change your mind 10 times. There is a section for beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian. It's just a different kind of menu. Anyhow, the food was fantastic. I had tacos de asada. It came with salsa, Pico de Gallo, and this smoky, creamy avocado. The sides were rice and beans. It was very good. The food was fast. No complaints. I think this will definitely be our new spot...

We were in town for Rugged Maniac at Virginia Motorsports Raceway down the street about 6 miles. After the race we were starving and we’re headed to a burger joint to try out, but after getting there being immediately turned off, we drove down the street and saw this gem on the side of the road and decided to pull in. HANDS-DOWN, some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had! The portions were amazing, and the prices were great. We had a wonderful conversation with the very friendly manager, who ended up teaching us some Spanish while waiting for our food - the other staff, including the young men were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very clean, and very decorative, you can tell they spent some good money on its appearance. Just an all-around excellent experience and excellent food, recommend highly if you live in the area or visiting for a race to stop by here and get some delicious food!
