Sue's Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Petersburg

My wife and I decided to go here because we like to support local businesses. My wife ordered a taco salad and boy was she disappointed,there was no taco seasoning on the burger actually looked like they just crumbled a patty on top. Afterwards we heard them in the back saying they ran out of seasoning I mean at least tell the customer so they're not spending money on a salad with just burger added. Then our waitress was in the bathroom almost the whole time the other lady is the one that asked if we needed anything. Finally when she did come out she never asked if we needed anything or if we wanted desert, never brought the ticket. When we went to pay and she asked if everything was ok I told her about there was No TACO seasoning on the TACO salad and she never said a thing. Needless to say we left there and went to dairy...

I came here for lunch with my mother, her bf, and 2 of my kids. She ordered the special. Everyone got their meal and had completely eaten it while my mother sat still waiting on hers. It took 45 minutes for them to bring her meal to her. At that point, we were just so disgusted by it that she didn’t even eat half of it. The waitress came back several times to tell us that her meal would be out in a moment. When the cook was asked about this, she turned the blame onto the waitress and said the waitress wrote the lunch special x 2. Apparently, she did not know that that meant two of the specials. We stayed at the nearby cabin resort and ate here both mornings we were there. The portions were hearty and the prices were reasonable. I love to support small local businesses because their food is normally fresh and tasty. This restaurant is no exception. Their breakfast is super delicious - that means the eggs, the pancakes (blueberry), homemade sausage, home fries, the works - just really good. The coffee? Amazing too, better than most places I visit. The staff was great, including someone in the back who okayed a special request for some local rainbow trout for breakfast too.
