I've been by before several times over the years & heard good things + have always wanted to try this restaurant, so I'm glad we finally got a chance yesterday! (02/28/24) We went as a party of 3 for lunch. It looked not too busy, which I was happy about. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted by our waitress who was friendly & polite, welcoming us to choose our own seats. We noticed how cozy & quaint it looked as soon as we walked in. We also saw a board with listed specials. One of them was a roast pork meal, another chicken rice soup that I believe you could order with either a grilled cheese or tuna melt. They also had dessert choices listed including a coconut cake. We chose a comfy booth in front of the window. They also had tables with chairs or counter seating available. Our waitress passed out menus once we sat down & took our beverage order. We all ordered coffee, which was served hot & fresh. We were told that we could decide between breakfast or lunch. My fiancé & I went with the soup/sandwich option. We asked for a bowl of the soup to share & planned to split a grilled ham & cheese on homemade herb bread. His cousin who dined with us ordered a breakfast which featured eggs, toast, hash, & home fries. Our food came after a brief wait (not long at all) & portions were plentiful. A few other customers came in during our stay, but it was close to closing time, so they didn't get too many others. Some seemed like "regulars" & I can see why! Our waitress was attentive & sweet, making sure we had enough coffee during our lunch & that we were satisfied with our meals. The food was excellent & prices were very reasonable here. I loved the relaxed, laid back atmosphere that was nicely decorated for St. Patrick's Day, amid Americana decor. We loved the overall experience & look forward to returning. A hidden...

So, after almost 5 years of living in the area I live. My wife finally got me to try breakfast here at the Quabbin Woods restaurant. Sitting right on the main road (route 122) in Petersham, Ma. is this lovely dining facility. Upon pulling in, I noticed the ample amount of parking space. We walked in and were able to seat ourselves. Service was immediately there to great us with a good morning and how are you accompanied with a lovely smile. We placed our order. I got the Special which was the meat lovers omlet with home fries, toast, and a side of bacon. My wife built her own omlet and had ham added as the meat. The food was made quickly (literally within 10 minutes). And let me tell you folks. I would have waited 20 minutes for the meal we received. The omlets were cooked to perfection!!! No over cooked brown spots anywhere on this omlet. It was light and jam packed with all the meats and cheese. The home fried were cooked to a lovely golden perfect crisp. And the bacon was delectable!!! I truly am happily suprised that I hadn't been here before. But happy I know about the restaurant now. I very highly recommend, that if you live in the area or are just passing through. That you fill your belly and enjoy this restaurants amazing food. An added bonus is the scenery in the area. So if you enjoy great scenery and great food give the Quabbin Woods restaurant a try. I highly doubt you'll be...

So this is how we(husband/me) ended up at Quabbin Woods Restaurant this morning for breakfast. In the last 3-4 months I have had to go to UMASS Memorial Hospital numerous times. Not for myself of course. Anyways, If I can avoid highway driving, I will grasp at an alternative way. Guess what. You can go a backroad kinda of way to get there (umass) in case you forgot. I would see the restaurant, think to myself. Have to go there sometime. Today was the day. We arrived a little early. New it was a good choice before even going in. Numerous cars pulled in while we waited for them to open. Needless to say I'm sorry I/we waited so long 😔. The service(waitresses-Danielle and Kyla) were both very friendly and greeted us when we came through the door. Compliments to the chefs/cooks. My Irish Benedict ♥️. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous. If you've driven by numerous times saying to yourself "I have to try that place " like I did. Do it now. You won't be ...
