We were looking for a local taco spot since our usual place was too far. We read some good reviews so we decided to try this place out. Once we were sat, it took a little while to be greeted and once the server came over we decided to order drinks and everything in one shot. I was undecided on my food order so I told the server to put all of the other food in and I’ll decide by the time she comes back. It took a time to receive our drinks and once we did, the server immediately walked away and didn’t give me a chance to order my food. Our food was brought out by another person and throughout the entire time we ate, nobody ever came back to check on the food or even take my order so I didn’t even have a meal and ended up picking at my fiancés food. We had Guacamole as an appetizer and it was very weird, the chips were individually stuck into the guacamole upright instead of just on the side like it should be so someone must’ve touched each chip to stick them in the guacamole. All the food we did get including the guac had little to no flavor as well. Even still after finishing the food, we sat there for a really long time and nobody came by to check on us or bring the check. I had to go to the front counter and ask for the check and I felt like I was looked at and spoken to as if I was rude for coming up to ask for the check and also stood over me while I signed the tip and everything on the computer screen. We ate at this restaurant in the early afternoon around 2 pm. It’s now 8 pm and both my fiancé and I are sick from what we ate and he’s been throwing up from the food. For the price we paid and the service we received, I would’ve at least expected to enjoy the food but now we’re both sick and wasted $60. The other server looked over at us multiple times during our time there and noticed we hadn’t been served or checked on and still didn’t grab our server for us which was also ignorant. I would’ve thought for as small and not busy as this place was, we would’ve been checked on and taken care of more often then not but that wasn’t the case. Definitely won’t be dining here again and don’t recommend...
Read moreThis is my go-to restaurant in NE Philly for Birria Tacos. I started ordering from them back in 2021 when they were fairly new to the area. I stumbled upon them by accident on GrubHub when I lived in the area. I went to their location the next day and I’ve made it a point to visit them whenever I’m in philly. Their beef birria tacos are the best I’ve had in the area. They serve you 3 delicious generously shredded beef filled tacos along side their amazing consommé dipping sauce, topped with onions, cilantro & lime on the side. This dish is robust in flavor and packs a big punch when you combine everything together. The beef is well seasoned and not dry. The tacos have a nice balance of meat & cheese and they are not stingy about their portions. If you are ever in NE Philly, give them a try. They offer dine-in options. You will not be disappointed. Their service is prompt & efficient. They have a wide range on their menu of other items to try. I’ve also had their chicken & beef empanadas and homemade guacamole, all which I love. Their delicious tres leche cake is worth a try as well. Overall their birria tacos is a 10/10 for me. Plus 1 platter is less than $20. It’s a win every time I’ve...
