I don’t even write reviews but this was unbelievable! Never Again In My Life… The lack of customer service at this location is unbelievable. My order was cancelled 2 days before my brothers baby shower. No warning .. nothing ! I went in on Wednesday July 14th for a cake that I was ready to pay in full with cash. Two ladies helped with taking my order: Irene the manager and another lady. Irene asked me if I was paying with food stamps. I replied that I didn’t know they took them for cakes and that I did not qualify but I knew people that would save me money and buy the cake with them. (If you know you know). She tells me to call in and pay the cake the day before (Saturday) It’s Friday, and a family member decided to buy the cake. So I call in @5:55. Initially, the young lady told me they couldn’t because they were closed at 6. So I called another location to see if I could pay there even though I ordered it at the woodland Ave location. Whomever answered transferred the call and I was able to get Irene on the phone. She ask my name to look for my ticket. She then says “oh we aren’t taking orders.” I said, I put it in on Wednesday.. it was t a new order. She then says, well you didn’t put a deposit down so we cancelled it. I begin to explain that, “Hey I’m the girl you told to pay Saturday .. remember?” All of a sudden… it went completely left. She said well it’s cancelled and we ain’t taking orders. I explained how NO ONE called me. She puts a differently lady on the phone .. the lady that supposedly called. I asked when did she call …They said they called me twice. . I literally looked … no miss calls. I ask well did you leave a voicemail…. “Ohh no , I didnt.” How “convenient not to leave a voicemail. You “called” twice (no record) but couldn’t leave a voicemail? It was because it was a complete lie! I was never called or the wrong number was dialed. They decided to put Irene the manager back on the phone and it went completely left at that point. I calmly asked her what’s the number and she said it wrong. As I started to explain that they must have called the wrong number …. She, Irene, began yelling at me… and I mean YELLING to the point my husband grabbed the phone. I was so shocked because it came out of nowhere. I was calm and respectful the entire exchange. Her behavior was completely disrespectful and inappropriate! When I told her that wasn’t my correct number and told her what it should have been, she begin repeating it as if 20 seconds ago, she didn’t say it to me wrong TWICE! So I called the lady who helped her take my order in which the lady confirmed EVERYTHING I SAID!!!!!!!! (Nice lady btw) Irene began yelling telling me it was cancelled period becausey I didn’t put a deposit down. Now please keep in mind, SHE was the one that told me to call in and pay in full on SATURDAY. How much sense would it make, that a person whom was paying cash initially for the whole cake “didn’t” put a deposit down? Because I was told to pay the cake off Saturday. She was yelling to the point, the other lady on the phone was telling her please calm down .. that’s not okay how you’re talking to her! When I tell you she was going off on that phone. Not an apology for THEIR mistake! Not even … we can work with you and do a sheet cake … we can still do the cupcakes you ordered… nothing. Please don’t spend your money with them.. the majority of people that order from them use food stamps when I was paying cash for a $250 cake! And maybe that’s the reason they believe they can be unprofessional , disrespectful and rude. I thank the other lady as she was really trying to help because she KNEW I wasn’t lying and an error was made on their part.But they can’t get NOTHING from me and I would like to request a call from the owner! Read moreI ordered a birthday cake for my Mommie's birthday celebration. I personally place the order one week prior to the event in person. It was a simple round pound cake with butter cream icing for 25 people. The day of the event my husband picked the cake up and brought to the venue when I opened the box I was horrified at the product - the inscription was as if a child had wrote it and the cake was under iced as there was a visible line in the front with missing icing. At this point it was too late to do anything with the surprise event happening with a short time frame. However I did reach out to the bakery the next day to express my dismay and was told this matter needed to be handled by the manager whom I needed to call the next day. Once I spoke with the manager she instructed me to send pictures to the bakery email and stated she would call me back to address. After more than one week I haven't heard NOTHING back from her via email nor a call. I even followed up again with an additional email and NO response. It saddens me to think that this establishment wouldn't apologize for the poor product provided and at least use this matter as a teaching moment for whomever approved this order as being acceptable. There really is NO do over as the moment has past but an apology would have won me over as I would have felt that the business made an honest mistake. Read moreI ordered a simple strawberry shortcake and gave clear instructions for what I wanted it to say (simple writing:” congratulations _!”) and i asked for the school logo, which I sent to them. They said it could be done. I come to pick up the cake and the logo is not the one i sent and it’s on the cake twice with NO writing as discussed … they had no explanation and just said they’d fix it. i come back and the cake is still not up to par. its disappointing tbh but at this point, i had no choice but to take it because it was too late to go elsewhere. they weren’t apologetic. there’s no way people are satisfied with their service. they didn’t even offer a discount for the back and forth traveling or the dissatisfaction of their product. not to mention, when i came in, both times, no one approached me. they just looked at me as if i wasn’t a customer waiting to be greeted and helped. i had to speak up BOTH times. it’s ridiculous! i’m very unhappy with the entire service from start to finish. let me also note that i only write reviews when im extremely unsatisfied or extremely pleased so this says a lot. i included pics of the cake before and after the “fix”. i crossed out the name in the pic for...
