Wasted my time being employed at this specific Store/location! Is it a cool company to work for? Uhh….Yeah, Somewhat! The way this Penrose store is ran from Management, Before this year of 2021 is over this store is going to fail! My honest opinion, And this is so directed to Chris the GM of this store. Before you go promoting individuals to a “Night Supervisor” you’ve should’ve reached out to get folk in this store that’s already a Night Supervisor and already have that Wawa Night Supervisor experience, Let alone experience supervising in general. Where does it make logic sense to promote individuals to a Night Supervisor position you’re physically not going to train? For God sake, Not even cross-trained in all the stations throughout the store. Let’s not forget NOT RAMP CERTIFIED! In what business you can tell me you’ve encountered business with a Supervisor that couldn’t operate a Cash Register. It’s not fair to have certain individuals to go through weeks of training and then have new employees come in and get no training getting thrown a Night Supervisor position. I’ll never respect you for that!! I can count on my fingers and toes how many Friday-Saturday nights this store chosen to have the slowest person making customers food while a individual that’s skilled n faster on the floor stocking candy. I can count on my finger and toes how many Friday-Saturday nights customers have waited for their order(s) for over 20-35 mins while your Night Supervisor (J) thought it was ok. How in the world you have that woman running a store everyone walks over? It says a lot about your experience as a GM that’s sweet and a pushover. If your not going get your store in order, Someone from the higher ups need to come in and assist you. You’ve made a BAD DECISION hiring a ton of children. Everyone has nasty attitudes, Quick to tell you what they won’t do, don’t care about the quality of the food they’re making & your food is either overcooked, undercooked and thrown Together.
However, I love when I come and I see Jabraya working bc she’s always smiling, upbeat and willing to help. And the guy with the twists in his hair always makes the food properly with the pleasant Disposition. Once, another employee was giving me a hard time because I wanted lettuce on my chicken wrap and she said I had to pay extra and made a big scene about it and he just came over to the register from behind the counter and corrected the situation because they couldn’t figure out how to charge Lettuce- the same thing happened when I asked for whipped cream for my hot chocolate. The lady Toni refused, even though I offered to pay extra bc who wants hot chocolate without whipped cream and marshmallows in the winter?!
I could write a novel about how disgusting this Brand new store is! The bathrooms are atrocious to put it mildly, The coffee island is sticky, dirty With spilled cream & sugar everywhere, The trash is overflowing, and the drink machines are so filthy sludge oozes from the dispensers from not being cleaned properly probably ever! The Cappuccino machine literally has a bacteria colony and other microorganisms growing on it- I took a picture because they’re going to make someone sick if they haven’t already. Read moreI frequent this Wawa often due to it being one of the few Wawas in South philly area with gas however, it is not pleasant. Employees are rude and extremely unorganized (excluding the very lovely and composed cashier) if you order specialty drinks or anything from the kiosk be prepared to wait either 30-40 minutes or five minutes because they make nothing in order. They constantly look confused back there and if you ask they will continue to repeat “yours is next” then proceed to complete orders for the next ten people who ordered after you. If you so choose not to go through that pain and agony of ordering food and hope to just grab a warm snack and go, be prepared for a stone cold snack because the employees can’t seem to realize when a heat light is literally not on and simply move the food to the EMPTY food heating area nearby. This is probably one of the worst wawas around and it’s a shame, based off of the area this Wawa is at, it should be booming with customers and profits.
