Pupusas Doña Mary — Restaurant in Phoenix

We've come here many times and had so-so service. We got there at 8pm on a Friday night. There were quite a few people waiting but there were tables available. We were told they would only take a to go order. We decided it would be ok with what she said would be a 20 minute wait. She said it was because they were closing early. 40 minutes later we got our food. During that time there were many people served at their table, so not sure why we were to go only. The family next to us got their pupusas at least 10 minutes before their platanos which were for their very hungry children. Parents waited and then their food was cold. The kicker was when the girl who was taking orders kept putting her fingers and hand into her mouth but didn't have gloves or wash her hands.

All in all they didn't close any earlier, they never have enough help, and I'm not sure I'll keep coming back. There are other pupusa options in Phoenix that value...

The pupusas are wonderful here! You will not be disappointed by the food. They make your food fresh on the spot. You want to eat here if you wish to have traditional Salvadorean food! The ladies that helped me with my order tonight were very kind and hardworking. The lady working the register made sure to get my order clearly and perfectly and made kind conversation as well. She even went back to help the cooks and made sure they got my huge order right. The only reason I gave it four stars is that the wait for my food was really long, almost 40 minutes. But this was due to two takeout orders before mine as well as dine in orders, which I understand when they only have two cooks. Maybe more staff would be helpful, but these ladies worked hard so I appreciate that and will certainly be back for...

I stop by this location for first and last time. I place my order , waiting time wasn't that bad, but I dint get my complete order and I don't complain because the food wasn't good no flavor, there was another table 3 guys drinking beer asking for songs in the restaurante speaker they put their music very loud I was with my wife and my 2 kids. No customer service. When I was eeady to pay they where trying to charge me for all the items I order and I told the lady I dint get my complete order so she go and ask the lady who give us our food and she didn't say nothing so she just remove the items I dint get without saying sorry. NEVER GO BACK...
