The Loft Again — Restaurant in Phoenix

The Loft Again presents to be a great neighborhood bar kind of atmosphere.

That being said, it is absolutely NOT wheelchair friendly and there is no way to adapt around that.

Every moment from the parking,getting to the door, especially inside, screams NOT welcome/go away if you are in a wheelchair/scooter.

If you're able to get to the parking lot and into the doors safely you'll soon discover that each table is pub height and close together.

There was only one table a wheelchair user can access which is right next to the door. Sadly you won't be able to see anything, except a lot of butts, not even the band.😞♿ Whoever you are with will be way above you due to the height of their chairs

The height of the tables and chairs makes it very awkward to eat. You either have to reach way up to the table for the food or hold your basket as you eat

As soon as we figured this much out and started to just enjoy our own company, some unknown man came aggressively running over grabbing our belongings and staying "You have to go now. I need this table now" I just sat there stunned as my family was at the bar and ai was alone at the moment. After a few minutes I just looked at him and said "So we have no table now?" He replied "Nope, we need it" Apparently there was a pool league board behind it 😞

This is the point we gave up and left.💔

I have been in a wheelchair since 2018 and this is hands down the most hostile wheelchair environment I have run across thus far.

Update: My friends and I were invited back to see how the owner could make things more wheelchair friendly. They had already made several improvements before we even arrived. I was impressed with how much they cared. No place is ever going to be 100% for everyone.If you just let them know your needs they are amazing at meeting them. They have good food; especially cheeseburger and fries🍔🍟 (fried to perfection, very crispy, great seasoning on them). Also have good bands there every Friday and/or Saturday nights. I know 2 members in the band and are really good.👍 Have great guitar players 🎸 and 1 male singer. There are 3 people in the band (all male). Of course I know they're looking for more people for their band (drummer, saxophone 🎷 player, plus female singer). This bar isn't fancy (more casual), but give it a try and I think you'll like it -- good food and a good band! We met some nice people and have become friends with them. If you are hard working blue collar, retired-military or Harley rider u r welcome. But if not a regular, be ready for alcohol related attitude and arguments, then you might get asked if you are gay, if not you must then be a cop. Actual questions i was asked. Prices r good, bar staff friendly and fast, but be on guard and anticipate attitude or arguments. Dress down or have your girl on your arm.
