Pizza King — Restaurant in Pikeville

I've always enjoyed pizza king. Every time I go to visit my family we end up going there. The food is filling, cooked to order, and the employees are sweet, most of the time.

We were there on September 30 and there was an employee that I'd never seen before (see picture). Everybody has a bad day, I get that, but she was taking it out on everybody. I don't know what happened, but she started yelling at somebody in the back about telling her to shut up, got on the phone with, I assume, her boss or a friend to complain about it, and left everything to the blonde employee there. She got our order wrong a few times and overcharged us to boot. There were other customers whose orders hadn't been put in when they had called it in over the phone, and they were waiting on the benches. There wasn't a good atmosphere to the place because of this and it was hard to enjoy our dinner.

I'll go there again because it is a nice pizza place to enjoy time with my family, but I'm going to hope that she isn't there. If I walk in and she is the only employee that I see, then I'll most likely be walking right back out. I waited this long to put the review up because she scared me and it is a small town and I don't want her trying to raise hell on my family. I hope that your day got better Ms. Employee and I hope that we can all enjoy...

Would not recommend this place anymore! Walked in and one woman was counting her drawer and 2 others hanging out behind her. No spoke to us. A couple came in right behind us and one of the women immediately turns and waits in them. My husband and I looked at each other and he said I guess they aren't going to wait on us. So I said we would just go elsewhere. They didn't even bat an eye or say a word. This is not how a business should be run. Pretty sure the woman saw us or should have asked who was next. Not even an Oh I'm sorry. Of course the couple who came in after us didn't speak up. We have eaten there before and none of the 3 workers were there at that time. Guess these don't care to lose customers! Would give no stars if I could for...

Such a good pizza! We were out and about on the 127 yard sale and found ourselves getting hungry in Pikeville. I hate to say it, but I've probably judged this place in the past just because it doesn't look like much from the outside. We decided to try it out. We walked in and were quickly greeted and got our order in. Then they asked what we wanted on our second pizza. Turns out it was buy one get one free. Score for us because now we have pizza for days. The order came out quickly and was very good. I love the sauce they use on the pizza. And the best part is, it reheats very well the next day and tastes almost as good as it did right from the oven.
