Tudor's Biscuit World — Restaurant in Pikeville

One of the few places I can say has great prices AND great food! Keep doing what yer doing baby! It's the best service, food, and prices in town! I could be biased tho because I LOVE breakfast and could eat it 3 meals a day! Yall really know how to make a good and filling breakfast too! Edit: after living here for a few years, ive realized that this entire town is almost incompetent when it comes to customer service and fast food. This is my "GO TO" place because it's the only place in town who doesn't forget your stiff, always gives u a smile, and makes great food that is surprisingly ALL THERE when u leave! I used to live in the city where this was the norm but here in pikeville, it's more the exception than the rule, but this place IS THE EXCEPTION! U get a good home cooking, with the speed, intelligence, and accuracy of the big city, with that sweet southern hospitality u won't find at litterally ANY other place in kentucky! Lol. Litterally! If u want to be treated like u matter, your food matters, how u want your food done matters, and to have it without a snark, this is THE ONLY FOOD PLACE in town where people actually love and do their job! Keep up the good work guys, u have outshined them all for at LEAST the past 5 years and I'm gonna keep coming back over and over again for that very reason. It feels good to not have to make a 2nd and 3rd trip thru the drive thru before someone gets your order right! And u guys are almost the only place that does it right THE FIRST TIME and cares how the customer feels or wants their meal! U guys are awesome! I'd give u 10 stars after having tried to eat at all the other places around here. If it weren't for u guys and the Chinese buffet by the library, we would litteralky starve everytime we ate out... at least one of us anyways...🤣.... no I'm laughing but I am NOT JOKING everyone else is THAT BAD and u guys make them all look...

Don't know if it was because it was busy or understaffed but the food was awful unfortunately. I got the big tator platter which was supposed to have scrambled eggs, bacon,sausage gravy, fried potatoes,and scrambled eggs. They missed the scrambled eggs and bacon entirely, none on the plate at all.The cheese was ACTUALLY nacho cheese sauce and the gravy literally had no taste at all. The potatoes might have been good if it wasn't covered in my inedible gravy and NACHO CHEESE SAUCE. A biscuit came with it and it was quite good. I ordered fried apples with my meal. The flavor was great, but they didn't cook the apples thoroughly,so it was a little harder than I like but others may like it that way. My son got the sausage gravy with biscuits, and had the same issue I did with the gravy. He ordered a hash brown patty and coffee and said both of those items were really good. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean and maintained despite being busy and understaffed.

We are hoping this was a one off issue, but I doubt we will visit again. I did not ask for a refund(never do, I hate that. They make the food,they deserve to get paid)and because it was so busy, I did not speak to the management about our food. We were told they were having food distribution issues while we orderer so some items on the menu were not available.

This was how our experience was, but it might not be yours due to the staff shortage and food availability issues that are plaguing the restaurant...

We came in for breakfast because of the ratings and them saying that they have the best biscuits. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you, they have real silverware and dishes that is nice. We ordered the breakfast with one biscuit and gravy with a sausage patty, an egg biscuit with a side of gravy, and a large soft drink. The gal that took our order was very nice and helpful. It was around $16 but never got the receipt when the food was delivered. We looked for a table, there was only one clean one so we took that (not know the vent from the soda machine blows right at you). Our food arrived quickly and was correct, however the egg was cold and the gravy had been sitting a while and just warm. The biscuits were fabulous, the gravy was very bland and had one small piece of sausage. The guy bussing table was working fast and trying to catch up but as he walked by us with his empty tub he spilled dirty tub water down my leg 🤢 (and my brand new shoes) and the floor, he looked at me a mumbled sorry. Needless to say this is not the experience we were looking for this morning. We might try another location and just get...
