Stayed the weekend of 10/14 for a wedding that was there. Fantastic place and people. The food for the wedding was prepared on site by the chef of the resturant. I must say that as a veteran of hundreds of weddings, I cannot think of a wedding that had better food. Blew me away actually. And it was everything they prepared. The Mahi, the Filet, the green beans 🔥, potatos, chicken... All of it was amazing. Everyone even said the salad dressing was amazing. Very very impressed. The wait staff was also great. (the bartender lady could be nicer).

The site itself was also great for a wedding.

The rooms are fantastic. We stayed in the main cabin area with a room that was super super clean and with an amazingly comfortable bed. Bathrooms super clean not only in our room but also thoughout the property.

Front desk ladies were also super friendly and awesome.

Cleaning staff was quick to point out I left my boots in the room upon checkout and did so quickly.

Again awesome staff. Memorable wedding. Super clean updated rooms. Super clean bathrooms. Super comfy bed. Fantastic food.

10/10 on...

So today at 12:30 noon, my family and I went for the first time to eat here at Tarpon Lodge. We arrived and was setted within 15 minutes, which was okay not quick but not long either. Once we were setted we waited 20 minutes before anyone would even talk to us. We were so embarrassed as everyone around us got setted promptly and received their drink orders within 10 minutes, at this point I was looking at my watch, wondering if we came to the wrong place. You see, we are a young Mexican family, and we're the only minoritys in the restaurant besides the wait staff. Every thing we order came out with our food and that was 45min after Bing setted. I not sure who owns this place but it was very clear if you are Hispanic the wait staff will not help you it's a shame that there is still places like this out there. On the way home we had to explain to our kids that not every place is like this and sometimes things like this happen 😔 Please think twice before going to this...

I recently dined at Tarpon Lodge Restaurant , and unfortunately, my experience was less than stellar. The first thing that caught my attention was the menu, which was surprisingly dirty and unappealing to handle. This was a red flag that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The restaurant is quite pricy, which led me to expect a higher level of quality and service. While the wait staff were good and friendly, providing attentive and courteous service throughout the meal, the food itself was a major disappointment.

The most notable letdown was the jumbo lump crab pappardelle. The dish was almost entirely pasta with virtually no crab, and the pasta itself lacked any significant flavor. For the price, I expected a much more balanced and flavorful dish.

Overall, while the wait staff’s friendliness was a highlight, the combination of a dirty menu, overpriced dishes, and tasteless food makes it hard to recommend...

What brings us back to this place over and over again is the views! SWFL charm through and through! The food is always fantastic and very consistent. I ordered the shrimp and grits this time with the blue crab and corn chowder soup as a side. This chowder is FANTASTIC! I could hardly share with my husband it was so good, sweet and so savory. Forget the cup, go with the bowl! It’s he shrimp and grits were so good I forgot to take pictures. Just cheesy enough to not over power the shrimp flavor. High five to the chef. The food is more pricy, however you know it’s going to be good and consistent so it’s worth it. The staff is extremely professional and patient. This is a restaurant for a romantic date or a celebration. I’ve also gone here for a wedding! Yes it’s that beautiful! Totally recommend a sunset timeframe as you can see from the pictures.

The Tarpon is a gem. My steak came out perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. Service was top-notch, extremely friendly, and attentive. Everything was spot on except my wife's fish, which she felt was a little salty. She mentioned it, and without hesitation they whisked it away and brought out a brand new one, cooked to her liking. That right there is the mark of a great restaurant - not every dish will be perfect for every palate, but how they handle it makes all the difference. The manager even came by to check in, which shows they truly care. Our server was fantastic too. It is a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Five stars, and we will definitely be back. Oh... and the bread & butter is delightful! That's one of my guilty pleasures. It's the Italian in me. :)

This was my first time visiting Tarpon Lodge and it was wonderful . We arrived early, so we headed down to the water to view the spectacular sunset (which was absolutely stunning that evening). After that we headed up to the lodge for dinner. Once we were seated we were offered a bread board with delicious whipped butter. I ordered the arugula, beet and goat cheese salad with the crabcake topper and my dinner companions got the beef entrees and Chicken Francais. All were outstanding and at a very reasonable price point; including the ambiance and stellar service. Dessert was equally yummy as we shared caramel cheesecake, creme brulee and keylime pie. All were just the perfect ending to a delicious dinner experience. I highly recommend!
