I stopped in here today while up that way visiting family. The building from the outside is nice and in good repair. Inside... Well... A bit of a cluster. Some tables had pieces of other things laying in them and the carpet was rather dirty. We were 4 of maybe 12 people inside eating plus about 5 staff. We were treated well upon sitting and we're quickly offered a menu to look over. The choices on the menu are pretty straightforward. My wife ordered a local made brew and it came in what looked like a 4-6 oz small glass for like 5$??? The next one she asked for a larger size and got a taller but slimmer glass that looked like same amount. We sampled the boom boom shrimp appitizer and I had the Po Boy shrimp sub and she had a Pulled Pork sammy. My came with sweet potato fries and hers with house made chips. The Appitizer Good. Not great but good. Got about 6 small to medium fries shrimp on a platter that was topped with what I assume was sweet chili sauce and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Didn't WOW me. DINNER Our dinners arrived and were less than stellar. Although both looked presentable mine was the same fried shrimp on a hoagie bun with lettuce and some very weak what I can only imagine was supposed to mimic a creole sauce but they called a Korean bbq sauce? I got sweet potato fries that were topped with cinnamon sugar and we're satisfying but not great. There was a considerable amount of grease under them on my platter. But they were tasty. The Pulled Pork I am sorry to say didn't even come close to hitting the mark. We LOVE bbq and we sampled it almost anywhere we find it. Especially when in other towns. This looked and very much tasted like someone opened a can of pulled pork and heated it in bbq sauce. It did not remotely look like hand pulled fresh smoked pork shoulder. If it was then I am sorry to say you failed your customers on that account. If it is canned then you should probably look at a redo or tank it from menu cause it really wasn't worth the asking price. She did bring home her chips and remark that she enjoyed them. All in all if you pass this way stop in and treat them your business cause all these small hometown eateries NEED all of us to visit and...
Read moreGreat place. We were staying at Conneaut and went to pymatuning for the day to enjoy the lake. Who knew you couldnât rent a boat on Conneaut Lake. But, as luck would have it, we found out about Linesville while on the water and this little gem popped up. Service was swift and courteous. My mother, who uses a walker, got the fish dinner and wingsâsurf and turf, if you will. The girls (we are traveling with a friend of our little munchkin) both got wings. They loved them. Nice to find something other than pizza that theyâll get excited about. The salad my husband got was very inventiveâboneless wings with choice of sauce and waffle fries right on the lettuce. He went with ranch, tasted homemade. Our server was wonderful and very accommodating. And Iâm pleased the ride back wonât be too far. Highly recommended by this family of salty sea dogsâthat reminds me the food was seasoned perfectly. Ha!...
Read moreDont be fooled by the outside ! Walk through the door and you're cheerfully greeted by staff. Interior is clean and tastefully decorated. Server was helpful, engaging and accommodating. Menu was diverse, with many options to narrow down to one! We started with the Asiago Artichoke dip with mini nan breads. DELICIOUS ! A must ! 3 of us had burgers and 1 had the pot roast sandwich. We were able to sub out the burger with Impossible burger, which was a delightful surprise ! Attention to presentation is always a plus, for me. Kudos ! Each choice was delicious and enjoyed by the table. Prices, fair. At the end of the meal, we were discussing what else we would try the next time ! A very good indication from our group ! Stop in and enjoy a meal. Each year, while vacationing in Conneut Lake, we check out local restaurants, to support this highly competitive market. The Crooked Paddle will go on our...
