Kimmy D's 49th Street Cafe — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

First time I have ever had food or anything here. Ordered some food to be delivered to my job. Paid with 2 credit cards and a $20 cash. I gave the lady the $20 and she gave me $10 back. I then gave her an extra $1 for a tip even though I already tipped $2. I walk back to my desk only to get a nasty phone call from that same woman stating that I took her money and she knew she gave me $29. I told her not to speak to me like that and she probably forgot it in our front office. She told me "when I get there it won't be there because you took it". I told her "you will be apologizing to me" and then I terminated the call. I completely do not tolerate anyone calling me a thief or blaming me for their mistakes. When she got back she found her money where SHE LEFT IT, and went outside. The operator called me so I went downstairs where she apologized but the damage was done. This was not how I expected my first time purchasing food there. By the time I was able to eat the food was cold and my appetite was ruined. I am enemic and have to eat regularly. I will never go back here. You should never assume someone made a mistake that you did and then blame them for it, not to mention making someone feel like a petty thief. Shame on you! A coworker and I called to order breakfast and placed the order with the owner. She was very rude and impatient as we were trying to work through the order with her and stated how busy they were. We were not being difficult and it's not our fault if they are not staffed well enough to handle the demand. It is completely inexcusable to be rude to a customer that is trying to give you business regardless how busy you are. To make matters worse, we gave specific directions on how we wanted to pay and they were disregarded and the coffee we ordered was forgotten. This restaurant has been redone inside. It's gorgeous and clean! Holiday decor is evident, even in the coffee mugs that they rotate seasonally. This diner has a really good vibe. They offer a wide selection of entrees for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have daily specials. While my husband and I were dining here, several regular customers came in. They were greeted by name and welcomed. Awesome customer service! Four srar because the Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich was missing the raspberry preserves and the powdered sugar that this sandwich is known for.
