Came in with my SDiT. They asked for paperwork. I calmly and very politely told them that asking for paperwork was against the law and could result in them being sued. Then the owner came out and proceeded to tell me "shes been in buisness for over 30 years and KNOWS they need paperwork" i calmly gave her the ada.gov website and even told her she could find the state specific laws and what she could do if a SD came in that was acting inappropriately. Then she proceeded to call the health department. I have cardiac issues. Me and my friend cleaned up our pastrys that we bought and left due to my dog alerting to fluctuating blood pressure. Will never come here again. Please update your employees and yourself on SD laws as I have been a handler for over 6 years and have never had to argue with a woman much less the owner about being disabled and accusing my dog of being fake because shes "seen service dogs before and they didn't act like that".
Lady then proceeded to bash me on their public FB saying that my dog was in my lap and eating off of my plate. "I ordered a cannoli. In a bag..." also when she came out to start her yelling she even asked her employee if we left because Helix was in a perfect tuck under my chair. Didnt come out till she was in my face yelling. This woman is extremely rude and would not take accountability for her actions and just apologize. Instead proceeded to lie and try to save face on fb. I have reported this buisness and hopefully something is done about it. People like this shouldn't own places where the...
Read moreI came in earlier today with my friend and her service dog in training (my service dog was at home), we walked in, got our food, and sat down to eat. We were not seated for 5 minutes before the employee who served us came out and asked for papers, we politely explained that there are no papers in the USA and that registries were scams, she then went in the back and got the owner, when the owner came out she immediately screamed "who's gonna sue me?" And then proceeded to ask if the person with the dog had left. She. Didn't. Know. He. Was. There. He was under the table sleeping. We raised our hands and she proceeded to come over to us already obviously irritated, asked us for papers to which we politely declined and explained again. She repeated herself again, and I gave her the ADA.gov website along with tge specific section that adresses service dogs. She proceeded to insult her dog repeatedly and threatedned us with the police and health department who we told her to call. She went in the back to call them and did not come back out. I have severe anxiety, PTSD, and panic attack disorder and was visibly shaking and bordering on a panic attack, while my friends dog was alerting her to high blood pressure. Over all this has been the worst customer service, Ada compliance, and arrogance I've experienced in my 3 years as a service dog handler. Me and my family have been loyal customers since they opened, but will never engage...
Read moreMy elderly uncle is in that store every morning for years. He had a procedure a few days earlier on his spine and I just found out that the co-payment took Penny of his fixed income. I was out of town when I found out my uncle went to bed hungry and was hungry this morning and needed to eat to take his medicine. So I was sure if I called the owner and asked for a $4 biscuit and gravy to be given to him and I could pay it when I get to town later this day. I was not given the manager or the owner that was told I would have to tell and work here what business I want with the manager. After telling her she was very reluctant to get the manager. After being on hold the young worker said we don't do nothing like that around here. But tell your uncle the donuts are $0.99. You can tell Mr Burr is gone. I've got a lovely little donut shop right up the road past harlows that's where I'll be every morning. Thanks for reading...
