Stopped here each night we stayed at the back rub lodge. We did wish there were other options in the area just to branch out. But since we were staying here it was the most convenient. The place definitely does some business, was pretty jammed every night. Food was alright, it filled the void. For the area I'm sure it's Definitely the hot spot to be. They just need a bit more flavor that's really the only complaint. We had a party of 8 for 4 days so we did spend some serious money here on top of our rooms too. The lodging was fine. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities that you would need (pans, paper towels, coffee maker, cups, mugs, toaster..) the walls are pretty thin, you could hear everything your neighbors are doing. One thing I did notice is the porch needs at least 2 more staircases. Sitting on the porch having to move over for guests walking past you each time to get to their room was a little annoying. Many people said it would be great to get down from the middle of each side of the lodge. Had easy atv access, that's what we stayed for. Quiet time is 10 and it definitely was quiet, no issues with that. All and all it was a fine place to dine and stay for the area. Did exactly what we...

The atmosphere was filled in a home felt loving feeling NH is known for and I have to STRESS this is NOT a place to drive past! I felt like family and this could ABSOLUTELY be the place where I can go "where everybody knows your name!" She quickly became full with a Friday night mix of locals of all ages (there were 2 newborn babies patiently waiting as Mom and Dad ate these HUGE burgers where we were seated) many snowmobilers and other visitors trying to see moose like myself in the blink of an eye! I'd just like to add that by putting salsa on the tortilla chips then mixing cheddar cheese with the mozzarella cheese on the "Nachos" makes them actually Nachos. Otherwise, they're just simple "Chips and Salsa." This was an entire plate of BURNT tortilla chips that were BOUND in a glob of unforgiving super glue like mozzarella cheese for $11. They soaked up the alcohol from my beer. I didn't have time to send back and order my own burger. Which.... I do regret because our drive to see moose in the wild only provided a couple of 🦌 deer and me wondering about those...

We were there for dinner with friends that live in the area. They said we had to try this place so we did. The restaurant is neat, cabin feeling, seemed clean too. The food is average, definitely over priced for quality. Typical burgers, steak tips, fries, pizza’s, and a mix of other basic things. I would call it typical old school American food. Nothing Thai, Tex-Mex, Chinese, Indian, etc. on the menu. Portion size is plenty, big enough for most. We didn’t have desert. Wife asked for veg’s and the waitress laughed, just fries - LOL, but she was nice, friendly and on top of everything we asked for. Same for the older man that brought us to our table. Very nice staff. Some local yahoo at the bar screamed “we got to keep building the wall!” Whole area went silent, we laughed. A bunch of people shooshed him. So you may get a free comedy show. (Still Trump country, super white up north, little to no diversity) Overall good, not very good or excellent but 3 stars is about right. Would I go back? Yes I would, but...

I don't have the ability to give Buck Rub 4.5 stars, so I'll round up. Lets get the negative stuff out of the way. The seats were terribly uncomfortable after riding the trails for 8 hours. My trail riding buddies and I were not fans of their french fries. BUT...everything else was awesome!!! - clam chowder bowl was huge, a meal in itself - potato skins where such welcome comfort food with hearty chunks of thick bacon - burgers were well cooked and made to order - meatballs were great - super clean with inside and outside seating 😉 - and the food came so fast, there was no messing around and really friendly staff. If you're up to Pittsburgh hitting the trails this place is a must visit.

Good tasting pub food in an open and friendly atmosphere. Stopped by for a late dinner and had the pizzas which were all well put together with quality ingredients and good flavor. The appetizers we're also great with a few creative options along with some old standbys. Beer selection is decent with the house ale being the standout. Service was fast and friendly and more than happy to provide some excellent suggestions that improves the meal. It can get crowded during the busy seasons but is worth the wait or get there early.
